I decided to make some Huckaburgers today as I was watching the NH Primaries and they turned out very good. Basically, I bought some lean bison
and marinated in herbs overnight. Then turned the meat into patties and added baby spinach, sprouts, tomato on whole-wheat buns and topped with a fried pickle and a side of fries. Highly recommended.

Doesn't someone have to bless your meal if you want to call them Huckaburgers?

Yes, this is the original Huckaburger recipe. You must have not watched the broadcast on C-SPAN but The Barley House in Concord, New Hampshire unveiled the Huckaburger last week. They actually delivered a batch of Huckaburgers to Mr Huckabee before a speech and he really liked it. I tried making these Huckaburgers and I ate 9 of them as I was watching the NH primaries.

Nine fried pickles also?! I can't afford any bison meat...guess I'll have to stick to bovines injected with hormones.

Basically, the bison meat is what makes the Huckaburger a great meal. It is a very lean kind of meat. The choice of whole wheat bread over regular bread makes it a relatively healthy meal.
