At least Cruz votes , while Obama the 170 something "present Votes" and did not even finish his term as Senator. (1st term)
The "Present" voting was during his tenure in the Illinois State Senate (which is pretty much tradition in the Illinois Legislature), not U.S Senate.....
The KKK was never on the right. They were virtually all Democrats. Was Robert Byrd, Prince of Pork, and praised by Chris Dodd (D, CT. and great friend of Ted Kennedy) as someone who "would have been a great senator at any moment" on the right? Nix. Was Hugo Black (nominated to the Supreme Court by FDR) on the right? Nix. The KKK was moderate/populist left.
Oh? Have you ever heard of a Republican politician named David Duke?
How about - more recently - the KKK standing in full support of the Republican Alabama Supreme Court Justice and the Republican governor of that state's defiance in the recent marriage equality rulings.
The KKK are right wingers.
Most KKKlansmen are Republicans, but the vast majority of Republicans are not members of the KKK and I'm not trying to stigmatize the GOP.

Rather than the same-old same-old, we have a guy that is shedding light on the bottom line: "Do we desire liberty or tyranny? Which would you rather have?" Cruz will stand for constitutional government, a free society, a strong economy, the securing of our borders, and America as the number one world power. Let's see the other candidates come out with that.
He had a career as a state legislator, which Cruz did not. And Obama was in the Senate as long as Cruz has been. He is in a crowded field of experienced, sane governors...he doesn't stand a chance.
As someone who lived several decades in Illinois, a stint in the IL state legislature is not necessarily a plus in my book when it comes to a presidential candidate.

Harvard law prof Alan Dershowitz described him as "off-the-charts brilliant." He is at least as qualified as Obama was in 2008.

Cruz has a better chance of being hit by a "Meteorite" than winning the Presidency. At least he will pull the votes of the "Crazies" in the GOP, and that will take away from what votes they have for a legitimate runner. No one in their right minds wants a Tea Party candidate, including Republicans, but it will keep the Tea Bags busy, and will cost them some dollars, leaving less for some one who is a real contender.
Lets face it, a Tea Party candidate is a long reach, since the GOP doesn't have that many people that want Teas anywhere near their Campaigns because of their extremist attitudes, and their reputation as idiots. Having the support of the Tea Party, is like having Ebola in Politics. No one wants to be around you for fear of having an association made.
He is having his fun. I predict he'll be finished by February. Getting picked as VP candidate? Also a longshot.
