Maybe this is a dumb question since it's still early in the primary election season, but why hasn't Rudy tossed in the towel yet? He hasn't even come close to winning one primary or caucus yet. Is he hedging his bets in Florida? Even if he wins that state, which I'm not convinced he will, what does that matter. Is Florida key because it's right before super Tuesday? I like to hear your thoughts.
Should Rudy and Thompson and others pack it in now or wait until after super Tuesday. Hunter has already announced he's backing out. No surprise there.

Rudy hasn't even come out to play yet. How can we possibly know that he won't turn out to be the latest greatest best thing for the Republican party?

Playtime has been going on for a while now. What's he waiting for? He can't be the president of NY and FL. There are 48 other states.

Because he's finished behind Ron Paul in 3 or 4 races now. If he does not win Florida out right, he is done.

I agree, if he doesn't win Florida outright, he is done. No doubt about it, in my point of view.

South Carolina probably did in Thompson, by the way.

Never underestimate a plan like his. Only downside is he's also broke.

I think he made an unwise decision to overlook states and concentrate on Florida. But his not having enough money is obviously a reason.

Not quite. He actually put a lot of money and time into Iowa and New Hampshire, South Carolina too. The problem (specifically in NH) was that his polling told him that the longer he campaigned, the WORSE he did.

I think his problem was that once people spent any time analyzing his positions (granted, this isn't something most Americans do) they found out there wasn't any "there", there.

His entire campaign has been; I walked around in a dust mask, looking tough, on 9-11.

That, plus I'm really only in this to make a lot more money.
