Trump is significant downgrade from our worst president ever, George W Bush. Not even close.

I noticed that Mr. Trump went out of his way to repeat - without being specifically asked - that making medicare, medicaid and social security more robust should be a policy objective.

I also noticed that he side-stepped a question on how specifically he would shape health care reform, mentioning only simplification and hinting at greater competition, so perhaps by making insurance companies compete on a national scale rather than state by state.

On the other hand, I would not be surprised if he were to back a single-payer system, something the DINOs had a golden opportunity to implement and did not dare do and something the DRINOs as a whole wouldn't dare dream of.

Again, constraints on immigration and trade, negotiating better deals, bringing back some basic manufacturing to US soil, increasing average wages.

Again, take better care of veterans.

Also interesting is that he is okay with restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba, by I'm sure he feels he could negotiate a better deal.

They all sidestep questions but on the whole he at least has objectives. Barry just promised hope and change - and boy did we get change. My husband always kids me about supporting the worst president our nation ever had because I was very involved in Jimmy Carter's campaign and my dad was a delegate.

He had to stop that 7 yrs ago when Obama was elected - Barry is a joke, will always be a joke, and will be known as the worst president in the history of this country.

I disagree. As does half the country.

I do hope Trump is your candidate. He WILL have to widen the net though - he WILL need the votes of blacks and Hispanics to win the white house. Does he realize that?

"Self-deportation" didn't win Mitt very many votes. I suggest Trump tone it down. Maybe his family can intervene like they often do when he starts a 'twitter war' with someone every time they don't agree with him.

I will agree that the next candidate better show the middle class some love.

How does Trump do that? Promise socialism and amnesty? That isn't in the best interests of this country or doesn't that matter?

What's wrong with self-deportations? Isn't that better than rounding them all up? Or is it that some Americans want them to stay based on a self-serving interest that isn't in the best interests of the rest of us?

Trump is showing the middle class and also lower class Americans some love by telling the truth about illegal immigration which hurts both of those groups.
