You guys are so over the top. You're so used to the PC world with political speeches written by professional writers. You can't think outside the box - you take things out of context and don't believe anyone should make a faux pas ( except our Democratic party leaders are exempt ).

Trump is saying just because you are a POW - you are not the only American Hero. He is not slamming any POW - any serviceman / woman but saying they too are American heroes and deserve to be treated better both while they are in the service and after they're released from the service.

Many of you have not read McCain's book - which is filled with questionable stories just as Obama's is. Who wants to buy a book that's dull - so we just embellish a little (?) bit so people will fork over $29.99 of their hard earned money into my pocket.

His fellow POWs received the same treatment he did - but yet he's special?
I Spent Years as a POW with John McCain, and His Finger Should Not Be Near the Red Button | Alternet

Democrats on here slammed McCain when he was running before. You make yourself look like total buffoons now defending him and not being able to comprehend what isn't PC. But then you just run with the pack of fools - never questioning what other libs and Democrats say and repeat it.

Trump definitely misspoke - but we all have put our foot in our mouths at one time or another - as have our revered leaders.

Trump's mouth and his foot go hand in hand like PB&J. He'd call Mother Theresa a ho if she dared to criticize him.

Trump has had many chances to correct what he said, especially the "illegals are rapists" thing, but refused and then actually doubled down on it. He's already said he stands by his words on McCain. He's keeping his foot in his mouth and jamming it in further.

The political intelligentsia is suggesting this is the beginning of the end for D.UMP

D.UMP is by far the most entertaining member of the GOP clown car.

If D.UMP goes down in flames, I sure hope he has the cajones to run as an Independent in the general election, especially after the way the GOP establishment has treated him.

Default Amid anti-veteran remarks, Trump signals Independent run

Most people who love Trump don't like McCain, so I doubt these comments will hurt D.UMP amongst his rabid base. I sure hope Trump supporters are paying attention to how the GOP establishment is doing everything to belittle them, calling them crazies and kooks, and even suggesting that their ferret-headed messiah is a DNC plant.

Trump is right.

Just getting captured and surviving in captivity doesn't make you a hero.

My father took a bullet in WW II. That didn't make him a hero.

John McCain is the prototypical RINO. I don't know why he didn't turn Democrat a long time ago.

He is certainly no conservative.

He's a shill for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its support for amnesty and virtually open borders.

He's also a rabid war-monger, along with Lindsey Graham. But that doesn't stop liberals from singing his praises when they find it convenient to do so.

I'm glad the supposedly conservative Weekly Standard is showing its true colors.

Trump is doing conservatives a great service.

Wherever he shines his light, the **** roaches scatter.

Don't forget, D.UMP first gained fame by claiming Obama was born in Kenya.

So logic, common sense, and rationality are most definitely not traits associated with your typical Trump supporter.

In other words, what John McCain said is 100% correct. Trump attracts crazies.

There's a very big difference between giving him credit for enduring imprisonment and not accepting the early release he was offered and wanting him in office. Is that too difficult to understand?

Territorial integrity, constraints on trade, more manufacturing jobs, higher wages, robust social security and medicare, and, in short, a more optimal economy on US soil.

Yep, all crazy ideas.
