No, illegals cannot vote but their American born children and other relatives most certainly can if they meet the requirements.

Omg. Republicans need the Latinos so they should legalize all of Mexico and the rest of central and South America.

The Bolsheviks wet dream of the 65 immigration reform act has come to be reality all the while they lied to the American people telling them our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually." and "the total number of potential immigrants would not be changed very much."

Just like they continue to lie today and Americans just go along with it.

Former DOJ Official: Non-Citizens Registered To Vote Through Motor Voter Registration Forms | The Daily Caller

It has mostly to do with motor voter bills and the issuance of drivers licenses to illegals.

Several academics have also questioned the methodology of the studies, which have, not surprisingly, been hyped by right wing media:

Just ask the GOP in California when Governor Pete Wilson used the scapegoating of immigrants in his re election campaign in the 1990s. He was successful in winning his battle, but lost the war, long term, for the GOP in years afterwards. It scared and mobilized a lot of immigrant communities afterwards (naturalizations took a big jump in the years after that). Since then, a swingy state electorally became a solid lock for Democrats.
What appeals to nativism? The objection is to illegal aliens not legal immigrants or citizens of this country. And no, those very different three groups are not being stereotyped as being one and the same. It's the defenders of illegal aliens that do that.

Oh, I see so some people put their family members above the law of this country? WTH? I have no knowledge of Pete Wilson scapegoating immigrants for anything. Perhaps he like Trump merely pointed out the pitfalls of illegal immigration? Oh, the horror. Immigrant communities? You appear to be blurring those lines between legal and illegal yourself.

Right, talk about fear mongering. The Democrats are experts at it. My all time favorite is if illegals left this country our economy would collapse. They love using that fear mongering tactic.

I know, I know! Let's nominate Trump, Cruz, Walker or one of the other lunatics who wants to deport them. Brilliant idea!

We will not win the Hispanic vote by screaming like nativist bigots and stoking the flames of ignorance. We're going to have to accept the fact that - like it or not - these Hispanics (legal and illegal) are here to stay.

47%, you say?

I bet Republicans have come to LOATHE that number

So are you advocating that we deport American citizens?

Is that some more of that "freedom" that right-wingers are always braying about?
