With recent polls showing Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders closing the gap with rival Hillary Clinton and out-polling all of the GOP's leading candidates, progressives nationwide will host coordinated house parties on Wednesday to further fuel the fire of enthusiasm for the self-described democratic socialist.
On July 29, Sanders will address thousands of supporters live via streaming video from a home in Washington, D.C. According to his campaign, more than 82,000 people have indicated that they plan to attend one of the more than 3,000 simultaneous local organizing meetings.

Keep up your dream and enjoy it while it lasts. BTW, what in the heck is a democrat socialist? You can be a Democrat with socialist leanings or a socialist, but there is no such thing as a democrat socialist. That is the same as someone claiming they are a Republican Libertarian.

That comes out to 27 people per meeting
1840 people average per state..
60 meetings per state, which is a lot, but given you need this many, in order to get 27 people to show up at each, not really that impressive in a nation of 310 million + individuals.
These numbers made you happy? Oooh, thats right, you love the ACA voucher program as well... haha
Just like ACA failed, so will this, as many of these individuals are sure to be rubber neckers, or those who are showing up because they dont know his positions, simply dont like Clinton etc..
And if you think the numbers are to be congratulated, then this of course would mean huge dissatisfaction with the current Democrats, like Obama, Clinton etc...
Are you sure thats the message you want to put forward?

On the other hand, I am told folks like Fiorina, Carson, Santorum, Pataki, Christie, Jindal, et al would be thrilled to get 82,000 people to vote for them at the primaries . . . . combined. So maybe that's not such a low number. i don't know.

As a longtime Progressive, yes, I am very dissatisfied with Obama, Clinton and the rest of the Wall Street Dems. Which is exactly why I support Bernie in 2016! I am tired of voting for "the lessor of two evils".
Well, we had some delicious stuff at ours - plus a ton of booze. Most people brought something, actually.
50-some people, not too shabby.
