The Donald; What can you say? Here's what I say; Our country is headed toward scraping this system of government entirely. Why? Because our kids aren't safe in school. Our nation is under constant attack from 'barbarous' elements of our empire. Random men wander our streets with backpacks with no need of a home. Our men become women and our women are becoming men. Our citizens don't argue, they shoot one another. Our law enforcement shows up in tanks at our homes.

So, what all this means is that the freedom we all have is rapidly going to end. This is the way of the world and has been for every nation in every age. And Trump is our subtle wisdom that we want a leader who we trust, at least we feel can hold power, once that freedom vacuum begins.

Honestly?

I really think the Republican Party has been selling hyperbolic doom and gloom to it's electorate for so long that now it's biting them in bootay. That's the true meaning of Trump, to me.

They built a vast right wing media echo chamber than has been spitting out OMG THE WORLD IN ENDING AND EVERYTHING IS HORRIBLE!!!!!! for years now, and they use that fear to create a sense of urgency in getting out the vote. But you can't keep telling people the world is on the verge of imploding, and they are the only people who can stop it FOR YEARS, and not have those people expect them to do something about it once elected.

The truth is most of the stuff they are screaming about are not THE END OF FREEDOM AND SOCIETY AS WE KNOW IT OMG!!!!!! They are simply policy differences and regular societal issues that need to be addressed. You can think the policies enacted by the other side are stupid and/or ineffective, but society is not going to implode over it. But that doesn't fit the hysteria factory.

They created unrealistic fears (Obama is a AWFUL AWFUL MUSLIM SOCIALIST FASCIST IMPERIALIST SECRET AGENT WHO IS DESTROYING THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!) and unrealistic expectations among their base (I mean, people really thought congress was going to be able to come in and undo all sorts of policies with the snap of a finger even though that's not how that actually works) and now that they got everyone all worked up without ever delivering, the Republican populace is primed for a Trump.

The irony is Trump can't back up any of the unrealistic stuff he's selling either, but hell he sounds pretty convincing while saying it and he's an appropriate figure for channeling rage, so there you go.

I have zero sympathy for the Republic establishment on this one.

The biggest issue facing the USA are those who are so blinded by party dogma they are lost fighting the false war or Republican vs Democrats. There is absolutely no difference between these two parties except for a few social wedge issues designed solely to keep people distracted from point #1.

It's the very reason that we are still looking at two political dynasties (Clinton & Bush) in this election because people support them without thought.

Trump has tapped into the rest that do.

Here's what I say:

Relax

Take a deep breath.

Turn off the cable news and the right wing hate radio crap.

It's really not as bad as their sensationalized BS tends to paint it. We're OK.

Seriously.

Carry on.

Trump must be sending ESPN a bouquet of roses to say “thank you!”.

Just another reminder to the average Joe that the media elites…even in sports…are out of touch.

Put another log on the fire…

If you want to know who the problem is in America these days, take a look in your mirror.

The country may not be as bad, but if you look at nearly every measure of national well being, the USA is declining. I'm talking births, mortality, age, income, jobs, etc..

So, while no doubt many people are doing well, it seems many more than the historical normal aren't. I think we all know this deep down. After all, 30 years ago virtually no one would dare say the American dream had died. Now even the rich people are saying, "yeah its likely gone."
