His penchant for running the Republican Party head-on into brick walls has always been the downfall of Senator Cruz's mentally deficient strategies. Now a real leader calls him out:

Ayotte to Cruz: What

Can we dispense with the supposed presidential campaign of this incompetent?

Are you talking about Hillary or Cruz? Hard to tell which.

Perhaps his endgame is reading "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" to his kids from the floor of the Senate, to help them understand what he's doing. Because no one else gets it but him.

Since when does competency have anything to do with politics? In a land that values entertainment over substance, education, intelligence and experience, you're going to get entertainers rising to the top.

She probably is furious because she doesn't want to put her vote on record as being against defunding Planned Parenthood.

Just because they "don't have the votes to pass it" doesn't mean it shouldn't receive the votes. Cruz is standing on principle, and voting politicians should be willing to be held accountable for their votes.

Entertaining? Have you heard his lame attempts at jokes? Have you heard him reading Dr. Seuss?

Sad that our highest levels of management have been duped by those debunked, distorted videos.

I'd like to think our leadership has more critical analysis skills than that, but perhaps they don't care for the truth, only the outcome they seek.

Much moral depravity is at work.

Cruz is standing on ego, not principles. He's perfectly willing to squander another couple of billion dollars of our money on a fruitless exercise that is designed solely for the purpose of giving him more face time in the press. Everyone knows it will accomplish nothing but waste more of our money. There is no endgame other than that, just like the last time Cruz pulled this stunt.

Kudos to Sen. Ayotte for stating the truth. And if she is willing to speak out against this stunt publicly and on the record, what makes you think she doesn't want her vote to be on record?

The underlying question is why anyone believes a blatantly lying piece of propaganda created to enrage those that believe anything that fits their preconceived notions. Cruse is a fool that will do anything to get attention. He is no more then another The Donald but with a lot less money. I do not support Senator Ayotte but I agree with her about Cruz.

Whether or not the GOP should go forward with the P.P. thing, she is the reason why Trump is in the lead and Boehner had to step down.

“It is abundantly clear that we lack the votes in the Senate to redirect these funds,” Ayotte, one of four female Republicans in the Senate, wrote in the letter.

Then we have to go here....

Let me ask a question that I can’t believe I need to ask: Does McConnell have even 51 votes to defund Planned Parenthood? He didn’t today, but maybe that’s because Ayotte and Collins meant it when they said they didn’t want to bother with show votes on a bill that was doomed to be filibustered by Democrats.

Senate spending bill that would defund Planned Parenthood fails badly, 47/52 — with eight Republicans voting no « Hot Air

Budgets CAN'T be filibustered when you have the votes in the House. All it takes is 51 votes......did they have it before? No, but there were different reasons for the failed vote and it's hardly clear that McConnell wouldn't be able to get 51 votes.

This is exactly the argument the GOP used when the Dem's didn't pass a budget for over 1000 days.
