Trump consistently demonstrates how shallow and unsuitable he is. All I've heard from him is that he wants to bomb the hell out of ISIS and create a database of Muslims, neither of which does nothing to confront the ideology that fuels ISIS and Islamic terrorists. He's just pulling this stuff out of his arse, and Pubs are eating it up. Pathetic, to say the least.

He needs to stick to casinos and hotel accommodations in New Jersey.

BS:

MSNBC Reporter: But specifically, how do you actually get them registered into a database?*

Trump: It would be just good management. What you have to do is good management procedures. And we can do that. (to someone else) That’s nice.*

MSNBC Reporter: Do you go to mosques and sign people up?*

Trump: Different places. You sign ‘em up at different, but it’s all about management. Our country has no management.*

MSNBC Reporter: Would they have to legally be in this database, would they be–*

Trump: They have to – they have to be. Let me just tell you: People can come to the country, but they have to come legally. Thank you very much.

ISIS has stated, more than once, that their goal is to foment division between muslims and the "western" world with an eye to starting their version of armageddon.

So my guess is that they would be very satisfied to stampede americans into setting up a database of known muslims simply for being muslims.

Perhaps a database of Christians so we know who to look for when some nut shoots up a Unitarian church or bombs an abortion clinic?

And this is where you're 100% wrong.

ISIS needs a west that hates and fears all Muslims. In their eyes, it has two good effects. It breeds resentment among Muslims, making them easier to radicalize. And it takes away their ability to get out of a horrible situation where the only options are to submit to extremists or die.
Usually nut case are not in the registers but all people who have a weapon permit are registered and I don't think it is bad. Neither is it bad that when you enter as a legal alien you are registered and when you are illegal you are sent back to come back and go through the system as others did and I have done.

I don't see the whining about knowing who people are. Today in Greece 12 people were arrested who were handing out fake passports.

Except that nobody has suggested this except for a MSNBC reporter.

There are several million Muslims in the US. It is ineffective to mine a database that large for terrorist identification especially considering that the percentage of US muslims who are also terrorists is vanishingly small. Trump is boasting about it in order to attract the attention of racist, bigoted idiots.

You guys do know that all students on F-1 visas are required to report to the Immigration once a year, if school doesn’t do that already. What do you call that?
