Those were not votes that belonged to Trump so how exactly did Huckabee "steal" them?

^^ Are you kidding me lol? Iowa does NOT change the national polling, ever. Cruz was always a top contender in Iowa and he NEEDED TO WIN. If Trump won tonight in Iowa, the entire Republican nomination race would have been flat out over. Trump will dominate in New Hampshire and South Carolina, the only way this becomes a "race" is if those low polling guys get out and that amount swings to Rubio.

Remember Rick Santorum won Iowa in 2012 and Huckabee won in 2008, how far did they get nationally ?

Chill out, Huckabee won in 08 Santorum in 12, this thing has just begun, McCain finish fourth in 08. Iowa is only first but not a real predictor of the nominee.

Trump is still going to be the Republican nominee unless all of these low polling candidates like Bush, Kasich, Paul, Fiorina and Christie get out and all of those 1% - 2% amounts go to Rubio as the "standard Republican candidate". If that happens BEFORE New Hampshire and South Carolina are done, Rubio could become a serious contender.
They will get their marching orders to drop out and Rubio will take those numbers and boy does that suck. Why folks want a candidate who is bought and paid for, I just have no idea. Status quo, status quo.

This is the same reason why he almost certainly cannot win the Republican nomination, by the way. It is not about first past the post. It is about accumulating 50%+1 of the total delegates. Trump does not really appear to be in a position to accomplish that.
because as Iowa goes, so goes the rest of the country

Well, Trump, you yourself asked "how stupid are the people of Iowa?"
Now you know! Heee heee!
Now let's hope Cruz does a nosedive in New Hampshire; not so many religious morons to pander to in the Northeast.
