Trump is clearly articulate, and brilliant. There is a level of sophistication required to comprehend the verbiage of straight talk intellectualism. Most people can't comprehend it, to be fair to you.

Being a great orator is not about the wordy, politically correct, verbose word salad you learn of in Freshman English.

Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln, were all very plain-spoken.

Iowa always chooses whack-a-doodles. I think wearing a button that says "Lost Iowa" is a badge of honor.

He loses the election all the polls claimed he would win--Iowa. Then New Hampshire. Then South Carolina. He's unstoppable!

So he loses Iowa, and now we hear that he expected to lose. Really? Uh--No he did not.

This is serious cult-like behavior.

Now Cruz (and Rubio, for some reason I don't quite understand) is making an unbelievably dramatic over-the-top victory speech.

People are actually yelling Hallelujah at the Cruz speech!

Yes--it is going to a much more entertaining election than I ever could have imagined.
You make a great point.

For literally MONTHS, we've been hearing about Trump's YUGE win that would take place in Iowa (some threads were even created today). Now we have Trump defenders saying "we never expected him to win". Just as I predicted earlier, Trump fans will blame his loss on someone else.

Weaker than Santorum? He won the state by 6000 votes. No, the surprise is that Trump is remarkably strong among rural voters and evangelicals, and Cruz's appeal isn't limited to those groups. Oh, and Marco Rubio. I see a lot of third-place finishes in his future ...

Or they've peaked, no one knows for sure..
