"Ex-Canadian" is pretty accurate, actually.

Nothing like having some good birther stuff. This is of course a real issue for the SCOTUS to hear before The summer is over.

He really was born in Canada.

He is a born US citizen but it takes more to qualify for POTUS. "Natural born". I see why some have problems understanding since it is complicated.

We don't have to worry about this since Cruz has a snowballs chance in his final resting place of getting the nomination. We reap what we sow and I don't envy him!

the current legal consensus ( and the congressional research service ) side on "citizen at birth" as the definition of "natural born citizen". cruz would qualify under this definition.

http://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R42097.pdf

what do you cite for your definition?

Natural born citizen has been defined since the early days of the country as someone who was a citizen at birth, vs a "naturalized" citizen who becomes a citizen after birth. it is not defined in the constitution.. But, the SC probably does need to weigh in and officially define it, just to shut people up.

Schwarzenneger and Kissinger couldn't ever be president because they're naturalized citizens.

Obama.. While there's so many conspiracy theories with that one.. It boils down the the fact that his mother was a citizen, which made him a citizen at birth.

McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone.. But, born to Citizen parents.. Which means he's a natural born citizen.
