1. Trump (the "Bush did 9/11" thing WON'T play well in SC)
2. Jeb Bush
3. Ted Cruz
I disagree with Rubio. I would have placed him third. I actually think Jeb Bush had the best night. Trump gave it to him by giving him the time of day which I thought was weird. So Jeb was able to play to the crowd which was obviously very social conservative, very pro-G Dubya Bush. Trump could and should have focused on Cruz, though Cruz had some tough moments as well. Carson was fine but forgettable. Kasich I would agree had a good night but I think he came across as too moderate for SC Republicans, which is fine, he just needs to skate through SC. I would say:
But I don't think it will affect Trump at all in the long run. Bush needs to do well in this state to survive. Trump doesn't need SC but may win it anyway. I think Cruz really flailed here because this is the state he should win as the biggest social conservative and his performance was not great.
Bush's comment that illegals that are poor come here for a better life.
Yes,the illegals are having a better life than many Americans because they are getting free housing, free food medical etc. Because of having anchor babies. Bush cares more for illegals than Americans.
