I'm not sure. His accent isn't the issue. It's his tone that's maddening. It's ridiculously nasal and whiney.

Yup-it is the nasal and whiney high pitched tone that makes me cringe when I hear him.

I don't think it has anything to do with Hillary being a woman. Elizabeth Warren for example has a soothing voice IMO, speaks calmly and cool and you can sense that what she speaks is her genuine thoughts. Bernie's voice may be off putting for many Americans since he speaks with a thick Brooklyn accent, but with him too you can sense that what he speaks is genuine.

When Hillary trys to be genuine it just ends up being off putting. When she really is genuine, she speaks much more lower and calmer.

I detest Cruz's voice too.
