Ted lost. The state decided not to take it to the SCOTUS.

The source for the story is Ted's own obligatory candidate book.

He is passionate about intimacy being only for purposes of procreation.

He likened the use of " toys" to prostitution and condemned automatous gratification.

Talking Ted Cruz argued people have no legal right to use sex toys

He's no doubt upset because he didn't understand the directions that came with his.

Small gummint "conservative."

He was doing his job, and there is no reason to think that Mr. Cruz didn't think the Texas prohibition against sex toys was constitutional.

Whether or not sex toys should be legal or not wasn't the question at bar, it was whether the current law was permitted under the constitution. I'm sure that if the case was reheard today, Cruz would have the same opinion

I loathe Ted Cruz

But at the same time, I have to accept the rationale his PR person gave. It was his job to defend the Texas Legislature's decision, whether he agreed with it or not.

Although if he had any principles, he would have resigned from that job rather than argue something that is completely nuts.

Some reporter should outright ask Cruz just where he stands on sex toys. God knows, that is such an important issue that tax payer money should be spent fighting against these!

Further, Cruz's argument was whether the Texas Sex Toy ban was constitutional and not a violation of the 14th Amendment, not whether it was a wise policy or law- just that the state legislature had the right to pass it. not everything that is not wise is unconstitutional.
What a waste of legislatures' time and our money!

Wasn't the "Just following orders" defense used at the Nuremberg trials?

Sex Toys are sold like the Pampered Chef, in Texas. Ever walk into a "Taboo" store? Sex toys in abundance there. Sex toys are illegal in Texas... What a made up lie.
A little history for your great state of liberty:
