If You Think Ted Cruz Is Extreme, Wait Till You Meet the Conservative Activists Who Endorse Him

If You Think Ted Cruz Is Extreme, Wait Till You Meet the Conservative Activists Who Endorse Him | Mother Jones

Cruz attracts a lot of very hateful people that actually want to KILL gays

This is just one of them , very scary people .

"Kevin Swanson: Cruz was a featured speaker at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa last November. He was introduced by conference organizer Kevin Swanson, a pastor who is known for his belief that gay people should be killed. Right before bringing Cruz to join him onstage, Swanson gave an impassioned speech in which he clarified that gay people should be executed by the government only after they've had sufficient time to repent."

Thank God that by the stroke of midnight tonight, Ted Cruz's presidential run will be all but over! The holy roller RWNJs that adore him will now have his undivided attention or perhaps they can go back to "petting" rattlesnakes. I wonder if the Westboro Baptist Church has a stained-glass window with Ted Cruz's likeness smugly glaring back at the parishoners? Bye Teddy!

I know what kind of people and groups support someone like Cruz. I think most people do. Sadly, we have a lot of people with irrational hate which festers into the mania that you see with Cruz. They "scapegoat", a very bad thing to do and people should not rise to power that are like that. Send Cruz home empty handed.

Why doesn't this get more attention?

Yet people were kvetching over one unsavoury character endorsing Trump, who he disavowed anyway.

How is he any different than the Kill the gays preacher that endorsed Trump and was invited by Donald to give the invocation at Donald's rally in Florida?

God's Law strictly and clearly forbids homosexuality. The penalty for this activity among God's People was death.

I'm not sure why it doesn't get more attention . It's like you have to dig for this stuff .
The very liberal voters should be protesting Cruz many more times they protest Trump .
I guess they realize Cruz doesn't have much of a chance .

When did Trump disavow the Kill the Gays pastor he had give the invocation at his Rally? Before or after he was honored by the endorsement?

You seriously want to get into a debate over which candidate attracts more unsavory characters?

Trump is supported by damn near every White nationalist bigot in the United States. His rallies are like the kiddie pool for hate groups.

What's next--are you as a Trump supporter going to accuse Ted of being a chronic liar? Because that would be hilarious.

I am really surprised Cruz has made it this far. My guess is his campaign has been kept afloat by Southern evangelicals who don't want Trump. Their vote for Cruz is a vote against Trump. Cruz has done very poorly outside of the South.

Most moderate evangelicals don't even support Cruz. The ones that do are the ones that actually want a theocracy and who actually agree with Glenn Beck that Cruz is a 'man of God.' The ones that actually believe that gay people should be put to death and that actually get outraged by things like red Starbucks cups. Those are Cruz voters.

There are Nazis in America. They just don't call themselves Nazis. The Nazis executed gay people (who were forced to wear a pink triangle just as Jews were forced to wear a yellow Star Of David) in concentration camps ... and these so-called "religious" people are also calling for the execution of gay people.
