I think there was nice little battle going beneath the seams. There were / are three main donors/money-men for the pro-Cruz super PACS, however the donors wanted complete control over where and how the money was spent....and the actual political strategists hired to run the Super PACS thought they knew better.

Good riddance, Cruz, you moronic fundie fanatic! Whatsamatta, you didn't PRAY hard enough? Jezzuz ain't listening!
They're saying on t.v. that he's looking ahead to the year 2020. Idiot! The country's demographics are going to be even less in the conservatives' favor by then!
I'm so happy he's dropping out, I'm going to burn a bible!

Sure, he's going to congratulate the guy who just implied his dad was associated with Lee Harvey Olswald.

Sadly, Cruz' stepping out of the race, doesn't mean we are rid of these kind of posts from Donald's fan base. Sore winners, loud whiners and bigoted haters. Too bad THAT hasn't ended.

No, really? You don't think Cruz should congratulate the man who mocked his wife and inferred that she was ugly? Who painted Cruz as a demented liar? Shocking!

Did anybody else get the vibe that in Ted Cruz suspending his run for 2016 nomination actually suggested he will not suspend his agenda?? Such as leader, his grassroots movement will fight on..thus looking to create a new "Party" that GOP embraced in 2010? It really sounded like he's defiant while waving goodbye ( for now) speech to me

It's my impression that Tea Party is a mixture of withdraw from World Policing..along with reduction of Government oversight of everyday citizen thus No taxation and No safety net and No interventions??

I'm wandering from one side to the other with his exit speech...

Lol, I'm already resigned, and I've posted as much throughout this campaign.

Trump is what happens when the party pooh-bahs, Capitol cow pies, and beltway boobs insist on running the show. If Hillary gets in because people are fed up with being taken advantage of, so be it. The message will have been sent and received.

Oh, and...

OH please, after the way Trump has insulted his wife and father you expect him to congratulate him.

Get real.
