eye, I know your guy lost but it's politics as usual. Ted did his dirty deeds too. He is no angel. So you should stop acting as if Ted is holier than thou in what he does. Donald is a category 1 jerk but he won fair. He didn't cheat or try to buy delegates. Trump has created record voting from republicans even more than Mitt brought. That in itself is a big feat.

Ted is a liar, Trump is an a-hole, both did whatever it took to try to win. The people have spoken.

Trump at least acknowledged Cruz, again more than Cruz did.

This comes down to experience and ability to handle the job of presidency than it does playing games to get ahead. Trump is a deer in headlights when it comes to leading this country

Cruz's base of support was just too narrow. He appeals to the "God, guns, and gays" voter and nobody else. Trump gets some of that but there is more to his support than just that. I was really surprised Cruz lasted this long. He was mostly only strong in the South and even that was an uphill climb for him.

How was Cruz strong in the south? He lost EVERY state in the south, coming in third in some of them,[much to my surprise as I expected him to dominate there].

Good riddance to bad rubbish! At least we no longer have a candidate who would have turned this country into some kind of quasi Christian theocracy

Yeah I agree. Cruz could be pretty convincing (to some) and is a good speaker , but he didn't have much to offer to anyone besides that particular voter base really.

Cruz vastly underestimated Trump's appeal in the South to the angry, beer-drinking, redneck, Confederate flag waving voter. Those people are highly conservative but are a separate voting bloc from the Dominionist Christian Right. In most cycles they vote the same but this time they voted Trump while the Dominionists voted Cruz.

Why did he bother to choose Fiorina as a running mate not too long ago?

What benefit would that have been provided to an already dying campaign?

Cruz had no reason to acknowledge Donald. The people have spoken. Great! That's what made this country great! I'm just speaking, too!
