Have you ever thought that he only did the reality TV show so that he could improve his on TV / media skills so that he could later do something like run for president?

It's called trying to unite the party which is what most Republicans want to see. It does not go unnoticed you're a Hellary supporter and have been all along while bashing Trump.

"GO TRUMP" or live in a 3rd world dump under Hellary.

my theory was just the opposite - that he ran for POTUS on a lark in order to feed his ego and increase his brand....I think even he didn't think he had a chance in July 2015.....

I like the title of this post " Reality TV star wins the Republican nomination" sort of reminds me when the papers said 'Hollywood Star wins the Republican nomination".

I guess history does repeat itself.....

There is a time when one must but country first and party second. This is one of those times. The below was how many Republicans felt in 1964:

But.....

Unlike the others, Trump put his money where his mouth is.

He spent $50,000,000 out of his own pocket to run the campaign. If the goal was to inflate ego and increase brand, there were certainly much better ways to do it.

Always get a laugh out of comparing a two-term governor getting elected with a reality show host/real estate scam artist......there are no similarities.
