Sanders campaign requests Kentucky vote recanvass By KEN THOMAS, Associated Press 3 hrs ago

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign requested a recanvass in Kentucky's presidential primary Tuesday, where he trails Hillary Clinton by less than one-half of 1 percent of the vote.

The Sanders campaign said it has asked the Kentucky secretary of state to have election officials review electronic voting machines and absentee ballots from last week's primary in each of the state's 120 counties.

Sanders signed a letter Tuesday morning requesting a full and complete check and recanvass of the election results in Kentucky.
"He's in this until every last vote is counted and he's fighting for every last delegate," said Sanders' spokesman Michael Briggs.

The office of Kentucky's secretary of state said Tuesday that they will begin the process on Thursday.
Clinton holds 1,924-vote lead over Sanders out of 454,573 votes cast. The Associated Press had not called the race, despite Clinton's slight lead, in the event that Sanders might ask to recanvass the vote.

A recanvass is not a recount but a review of the voting totals. It is unlikely to affect the final outcome but could affect the awarding of a single delegate still up for grabs.

I think Sanders is right to request a recanvass in this instance.

Sanders gets more ridiculous every day. He is behind by a couple hundred pledged delegates and trails badly in California. One delegate is not going to matter. It's over, Bernie!

I understand what he's trying to do, but I think he should pay for it. Especially since we're talking about one delegate, which will not change the math that he's dealing with.

If the overall race was close enough for this to matter, then fine, go ahead. But it's not, and he's just wasting people's time with this, and cementing his image as a cranky sore loser.

Bernie should ask for a recount. They don't call her "crooked" hillary for nothing.

His only problem. Finding some honest DNC officials. As we saw in Nevada, they are completely and unfairly biased towards Hillary.

A recanvass is not a recount. It just means each county will review the absentee totals and voting machine totals transmitted to the SOS and verify the right numbers were reported. No ballots are examined or counted.

It's a sham move on Bernie's part to garner publicity and stir up his supporters. He's implying the county workers must have screwed up, and I'm sure that's setting well with them.
