The most recent poll has Clinton at 39%, Trump 35%, and Johnson at 11%. Johnson is trending up, from 5% to 8% to 11%.

I - a declared Republican, usually - am impressed by Johnson. I saw him on Fox news and heard him saying the same things that I have been saying for years. I didn't agree with everything, of course, but I actually like him a lot better than Trump.

And voting for Hillary is out of the question.

I hope he gets into the debate.

I'm no Weld fan but the Libertarian party put up a legitimate ticket with more executive experience then either of the major parties.

That is good news for the Libertarian party, the more exposure they get means the better chance at more votes they can also get which could lead to being able to receive federal money for their party which would make it easier for them to win seats in the future. I would like to see the same happen for the Green Party as well. Having Congress be made up of several parties would be beneficial to Americans.

So it's a 5 pt race in CT? Obama won the state by 22 pts in '08 and 18 pts in '12.

A Quinnipiac poll from June '08 had Obama leading McCain by 21 in CT.

Better than a 3 point race in Arizona and Utah haha

It was 7 point head to head, in line with 2012 Quinnipiac poll which had sitting president Obama only +7 over Romney in Connecticut

Great to see Jill Stein doing so well. Getting 5% would be truly incredible and would ensuring federal funding going forward and would turbocharge the Green Party which is the real legacy of FDR, not corporate sell-outs in the anti-worker Democratic Party.

I was gonna say. That doesn't look particularly good for Hillary considering this is CT, and the campaign hasn't even started yet.

Are you referencing the August poll? The June poll was +12 for Obama. Obama's average Quinnipiac lead over Romney was 12.3 points. What's really most shocking from the current poll is favorability ratings - Clinton 37% vs 33% for Trump. In a true blue state, Clinton isn't any more liked than Donald Trump.

Interesting, the last Quinnipiac poll in October also had Clinton +7 over Trump.

That's pretty darn close for a state like CT.
