I am hoping that the U.S. can evolve and contemplate a 3rd party. Maybe it is time to look at something
beyond the Dems & Reps that no one is happy with.
Do people still believe in 2016 that voting for a candidate who has 0% chance of winning is somehow sending a message to . . . . . someone? I think it's like a tree falling in the forest.
If you are green, not driving to a voting site on November 8 will send a smarter message.

The status quo will remain for at least another 4 years, but if it comes back that let's say 20% of the people vote for a third party candidate that's a huge message to the main parties. Not voting means nothing. Low voter turnout is already an expectation.
If you can't in good conscience vote for any of the major party candidates and you agree with the Green Party platform (it's a fine one) and if they're on your state ballot, then vote your conscience.
But if you're just doing it as a protest vote or trying to send a message to the major parties, you'll be wasting your time.
Also consider that the next President will appoint at least two Supreme Court justices. Their average tenure is now 25+ years and increasing.
“Occupy DNC” protesters have locked down two campground sites where they will set up tent cities to use as home base for their anti-Hillary protests. One of the group’s organizers has said she expects “several thousand” protesters to stay at the campsites.
The Green Party missed the deadline to be on the November ballot in Arizona. I don't know about other states.
Because of Texas sore loser laws, Bernie can't run here as a 3rd party candidate (or independent or write-in either).
I think we're one of two states where sore loser laws apply to presidential candidates.
In the other states, presidential candidates are exempt from them.
Of course this is all moot after his DC speech today. He's obviously going to support the Dems.
