I am definitely anti-Trump - but gotta give him a pass here. He's billing back to his own family corporations for expenses related to his campaign: food, lodging, and rental on event venues.

IMO, nothing really wrong with any of that.

This is only legit if he and his family own ALL of the stock in those companies. If not, they are playing with other peoples money. The Donald never plays with his own money if there is an alternative.

I cannot wait to see the background documents the Democrats have amassed on this man's frauds.

Taratova brings up a good point, 80% of the money spent on the Trump campaign came from a loan that Trump made to his own campaign (the other 20% being from donations and sales of merchandise).

I'm going to qualify my previous statement. There's nothing wrong with Trump spending his own loaned money for goods and services rendered by his own family businesses - but there'd be a big problem with him spending other people's donations for goods and services rendered by his own family businesses.

If the Republican Party opens its coffers and starts shoring up Trump's campaign financially, or if outside donations become the mainstay of his campaign revenue, then Trump has a serious and obvious conflict of interest in his campaign spending.

Just checking......are you simply trying to point out that in many ways Trump will be no different than politicians like Nancy Pelosi that has used her position to enrich herself?

Common business practice. Another good example of how the country should be run.

Only it's offered up as a negative by fools who don't understand the first thing about how business actually works. The same ones who would believe that only government produces jobs. We have all seen how government targets industry and destroys them as they choose the winners and losers of their preference for political gain.

Geez, I'm going to have to take back that pass I just gave.

Donald Trump is playing with money he loaned to his campaign, which is to be paid back with interest. The only way that loan gets paid back is with other people's money. And because the loan will most probably be paid back, his billing of his expenses back to his own companies just fattens his profits. Win or lose, Trump is poised to make a financial profit from his efforts to obtain the presidency of the United States.

Trump is playing his base for suckers, making money off of them.

Maybe that's another reason why the GOP money men are keeping away from him - they smell a con job.
