A solid post convention bounce for Mrs Clinton, 7 points clear in the recent CBS poll. One of her better ones

CBS news
Clinton 47
Trump 39

Did Hillary Clinton get a post-convention bump? - CBS News

So Trumps response surely should be to change course and concentrate on the GDP numbers, the economy etc?

No instead he decides to spend time this morning talking about his feud with the Khans again, keeping the story in the news.

Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump "Mr. Khan, who does not know me, viciously attacked me from the stage of the DNC and is now all over T.V. doing the same - Nice!"

Brainless stuff. Looks like he plans to be talking about this all week.

After the miscalculation of the U.K. BREXIT predictions, and the opportunity for polling to be slanted in so many ways, it is probably best to remember that the poll that counts is at the ballot box.

1,393 people participated in telephone polling, +/- 3 points. The error for sub-groups may be higher but is not spelled out in the article.

Only 82% said they were definitely voting. If 100% voted, 86% of the Dems said they would vote for Hillary (1,198 votes) and 79% of the Reps (1,100 votes) said they would vote for Trump. You can kind of see from the math here why the polling is not that reliable. They seemed to think that the Independents would split evenly, which I highly doubt and also had crossover Dem/GOP, GOP/Dem equal which I also doubt.

I mean it sounded like she was on her way, she is but not in the direction the article is pointing.

I studied "Statistics and Probability" in college and have always loved math! It is early, does anyone see any errors in my math, afterall, I am one of those "uneducated" Trump supporters! Hillary, prepare to eat Trump's dust!

Let's do 82% votes, 1,142 voters. 86% for Hillary - 982 votes 79% for Trump - 902 votes. Right? Landslide not!

Convention bounce - it's called a bounce for a reason. Give things another week or two to settle down.

Not if he spends the next two weeks fighting with the Khans, which it seems he wants to do.

The demise of Donald Trump has been predicted every week or two for the last year.

Hillary has her own land minds to navigate with the recent DNC scandals, lying on Fox News and Julian wanting his pound of flesh.

This CBS poll does not show the demographics of those polled. So, no idea if they did the sketchy thing of getting +50% more Dems.

The fact that Reuters changed their polling methods because Trump was doing too well makes me question any other MSM that poll Trump.
