I wouldn't be surprised if he is considering it. Cruz is now all that well liked in the state. Although I get a feeling that George Bush is aiming to take a crack at his seat in 2018.

I'm glad to see you know how to parrot Trump, but what exactly do you "hate" about Ted Cruz? You must have some good reasons. Can you spell them out? Let's see if you can come up with anything other than the usual blind hatred, which is always just personal.

Cruz is a divisive jackass that is only worried about Ted. He doesn't get along with anyone and causes more damage than he solves. I don't think he's authored one piece of meaningful legislation either.

Other than what Hecate said I would add he was more worried about his personal feelings than the well being of the country when he told ppl to vote their conscience. He told Middle Eastern Christians he wouldn't stand with them because they didn't like Israel...the man is a pandering brown noser and an all around *******.

It's always about policy. Which policy or vote of his don't you like?

1) Rick Perry could have been Governor for life. If he wasn't interested in that position, why would he want to be just one of 100 Senators and have to spend half the year in Washington?

2) Perry endorsed Cruz after he (Perry) dropped out. He's not going to try and primary Cruz.

3) Cruz is an incumbent Senator. He'll be fine - and after Trump's candidacy is a national down-ticket disaster for Republicans, Cruz's refusal to hop on that bandwagon-off-a-cliff is going to look a lot better.

As far as I'm concerned, Ted Cruz is the most repugnant of the potential 2020 Republican nominees for President. But if he wants to run for reelection (and apparently he plans to do so) he'll be a near-lock in that race.

He isn't America First. He is Israel First. Hell he wouldn't even stand with Middle Eastern Christians because they didn't care for Israel! I don't agree with his foreign policy style or his stance on trade either.

If Cruz isn't "that well liked", how did he get elected?

Well, it wasn't any miracle:
