Wasn't able to watch the debate live. Interesting to watch it after reading the reviews.
Key points:
1. HC looked great. Given her recent illness she wins a couple of big points on this alone
2. Trump clobbered her on the economy. I think she's going to lose Ohio and perhaps Penn. because of NAFTA and TPP.
3. Birther issue. Trump danced around the question. However, I'm not sure how much of an issue this actually is with many voters black or otherwise. He lost points on this but it didn't blow up in his face either.
4. Race. I liked the way Trump weaved the stop/frisk into help lowering the crime rate which inturn would help particularly the African American communities. Now it can be argued that it won't help but that's an argument that can be debated either way. So Trump wins the law and order vote without upsetting that percentage of the black vote he seems to be getting in recent weeks. All Trump needs is a solid 15% of the black vote. The birther and stop/frisk issue won't hurt that percentage.
Who won? The polls the next few days will decide but I predict a bump for Trump. He won the all important first 30 minutes hands down and that's extremely important in this kind of debate. The general public doesn't know the "facts" one way or the other. They are voting for the person they feel can help kick start the economy and provide security which I believe are the biggest issues.
If the polls show Trump the clear winner he had better understand the next debate might be the last chance for the MSM to help take him down. Expect Martha Raddatz and to a lesser extend Anderson Cooper to go all kamikaze on Trump.
No meltdown whatsoever but it's easy to see the desperation in the Clinton trolls. He was passionate and loves America. She wasn't and doesn't.
My impression....Trump came out as a passionate but ill informed candidate. His idea that global warming was a Chinese invention and his constant blaming of China of all US economic malaise only highlight either his general ignorance of global economics, or his attempt to get at the less educated and well informed voters. One way or another, it's obvious that Trump is playing to the dumb. Even though Hillary is hugely unlikable (to me at least), but she appeared measured and knew what she was talking about. A president who is a demagogue usually don't end well for the country.
I only watched the first 2 questions. I think Hillary spoke well amd stayed on point. Am I the only one who is terrified about debt free college and making the wealthy pay? What is wealthy, they never say...but anyway Trump was unprepared in my opinion and used a lot of fill in words. Is anyone else terrified about taxing companies that left the USA??
I have said it before, I am sitting this one out because both candidates are each half horrible and I just don't feel qualified to make that decision.
Trump interrupted Clinton a lot. He's still telling the lie about not releasing his Tax return because of an audit. Not impressed with his cocky attitude.

Same here. Has been that way since day one. Sounds immature as well as offensive/rude.
Trump said it best.. She's been around 30 years and hasn't done s***. Thats the tale of the tape.
She talks a big game but thats it. You won't get any action from her. All you're getting is 4 more years of a "do nothing" president.
Remaining with the status quo, NOTHING will change. On that basis alone, its time for someone new.
