She could have said that we paid over Xmillion dollars over the past X years because America has been good to and we give back in charities and taxes...

My husband worked for almost 20 yrs for privately owned o/g production company. The two guys who owned it w/few other limited interests hated to,any taxes even though they were making money hand over fist...created very complex, legitimate structured packages to keep, their taxes as low as possible...
One of the guys who invested with them was not impressed w/how they tried to protect their money from taxes...he had already made lot of money in o/g and lost it and made more...
He said America has been good to me and paying lot of taxes meant he made lot of money...

Trump is not a generous man...same w/cheating the people who contracted with his companies and he stiffed to add to his profit line...

I am not for either Trump or Clinton[wanted Bernie Sanders], but I have to say I think Clinton was much better in the debate than Trump, but I still don't believe for one minute that she would accomplish one thing for the middle class and poor, or that she even wants to. She is an elitist, and is for the elite!

Trump was his usual rude, interrupting, evasive, and smirking self. Once again no substance from Trump about his plans! Plus he continued to lie for 5 more years about Obama's birthplace.....even after the birth certificate was produced!

Clinton looked far more approachable, comfortable, relaxed, and knowledgeable than Trump. Too bad that I don't think she can be believed.

IMO, no one with a conscience or common sense... has any business voting for either Trump or Clinton!

If Fox News says Clinton won, then you better believe it. She played Trump at will and he took every bait she offered and spent most of the night in self-defense mode.

She talks a big game but thats it. You won't get any action from her. All you're getting is 4 more years of a "do nothing" president.

Remaining with the status quo, NOTHING will change. On that basis alone, its time for someone new.

Clinton hasn't been President around 30 years!

That's your story.

I beg to differ.

Trump was mostly rambling and filibustering in the debate, but really, he said nothing.

True.

But, that is not the point.

The point is that HRC is simply more of the same politician / from the political class that has been mucking things up for the past 30 years.

Its an easy distinction to understand, whether or not you agree with DT as to the relevance of the point.

Blame that weak Lester Holt for that, Holt should never moderator another debate.

Neither convinced anyone that they would be a good choice.

When all is said and done, the first debate will be mostly forgotten when people vote. If anything, the last debate will be fresher in people's minds. Neither stood out one way or another last night. It was pretty much as expected as far as I'm concerned. Trump did well overall and so did Hillary. If anything, those that thought Hillary was going to mop the floor with him are disappointed. That didn't happen. I doubt last nights debates will change anything as far as the election is concerned.
