To Mr. Obvious OP, anyone that takes 1 poll as gospel is living in delusion....they are all base don assumptions that may or may not turn out to be correct this election cycle.

Trump holds rally anywhere he goes. 10s of 1000s show up.

Hillary holds rally and barely a couple of hundred show up.

This speaks for itself.

Trump defeated 16 establishment politicians.

Hillary failed to beat Obama, and a 74 year old communist and porno author. Super Delegates had to give it to her.

This also speaks for itself.

If the election were held today, Trump would lose in a landslide.

He trails in every major poll, most by around 5 points, which would result in a massive landslide, since the battleground state margins almost all now favor Hillary.

And there are two more debates, so two more guaranteed live Trump trainwrecks for all to see.

LA Times Daily Tracking Poll shows him winning by wide margin.

And EVERY OTHER poll shows him losing.

Hmm nope.

But I assume that you only look at polls that show Hillary winning.

Often, the first half-dozen or so responses are reasonably serious. After that - well, at some point, it becomes a GREAT opportunity for practicing zingers. It's quite useful for that.

On polling specifically, you'll be better off participating in the 'stickies' thread devoted to polls. That one is moderated pretty strictly, and while the zingers do occur, the serious discussion dominates. Because if it doesn't, the entire thread is shut down and a new one started.

Oh no, especially with some posters. The one you are "talking" with especially. She's a good student of Trump university - say "wrong" to anything you disagree with, and you are a winner of every debate.

Of the ten polls they average, Clinton is leading in eight of them, one shows a tie, and Trump is leading the LA Times poll.

Isn't it a bit disingenuous to say "Trump is leading in the polls!" when literally only one out of ten polls has him in the lead?

For what it's worth, the LA Times poll is garbage due to methodological reasons. Here's a FiveThirtyEight article by Nate Silver that explains the methodological error: Election Update: Leave The LA Times Poll Alone! | FiveThirtyEight
What and who is "FiveThirtyEight"?

You've been here for 8 years and you seriously don't know what FiveThirtyEight is?
