It was reported at multiple news sources - most notably by NBC News - that something unusual and significant is happening that is BAD NEWS for the Donald Trump campaign: traditionally conservative oriented newspapers are forsaking Trump by either refusing to endorse him or outright endorsing Hillary Clinton or in a couple of cases Gary Johnson.

Here are a few:

  • USA TODAY -- has broken with a tradition since it's inception 34 years ago of not taking sides in a presidential election; calls Trump unqualified to be president!
  • DETROIT NEWS -- (yes, Detroit actually has a conservative newspaper) refuses to endorse the Republican nominee (Trump) for the first time in 143 years.
  • ARIZONA REPUBLIC -- first time endorsing the Democrat for president since 1890.
  • CINCINNATI ENQUIRER
  • HOUSTON CHRONICLE
  • DALLAS MORNING NEWS
  • TULSA WORLD NEWS

  • RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH
  • MANCHESTER UNION-LEADER

Of course no one is surprised when Liberal-leaning newspapers such as The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, etc. endorses the Democrat ... but this bit of news must be recognized by all people interested in this presidential race.

Newspapers are irrelevant. Technology has killed them all.

all of them are digital - but Americans are pretty illiterate, so they go unvisited/unread......but it's great to see that smart, intelligent editorial boards are anti-Trump....reinforces how I've felt about Trump since 1980s.

I'm SO happy you wrote about USA Today. Here's what Sharyl Attkisson had to say about that:

Quote:
For me, it will be difficult to view USA Today from now on as the newspaper it once was. After all, when an editorial board admits this sort of bias, it’s reasonable to suspect they’ll see fit to deviate from other normal editorial policies, slanting their news coverage in subtle if not overt ways.

USA Today now joins a cadre of media and journalists who have sacrificed their once-sacrosanct role of trying to remain at least relatively unbiased for the sake of the audience they serve. Instead, they are actively working to affect a national political campaign because they either feel so strongly personally they can’t help themselves; or they are so influenced by political, corporate or advertising factions that are increasingly twisting the arms of the media to advance their interests. Neither is a good scenario for a news organization, and neither is a good way to maintain the trust of readers looking for a fair news source. You might believe that well-meaning people at the newspaper simply feel so strongly, they had to take an unprecedented stand. Working on the inside for more than 30 years, I have a slightly more cynical suspicion: outside forces were at play in persuading the editorial board to take the action.

More proof of the media bias against him. He's been saying it all along that he has to run against the "press" and Hillary. He's been mocked for constantly pointing out how biased they are against him. The outright pledged support for. Hillary is as absolute proof that Trump was telling the truth for over a year. They are not "journalist" anymore but bought and paid for arm of the establishment party.

So I hope to see more biased reporting as we get closer. It will further prove Trump was right, and with the advent of the internet, this will be be recorded in history as the biggest media push to maintain power in American history. The press doesn't have the monopoly on opinons and news anymore and they are scared to death that if Trump wins the writing will be on the wall. The establishment politicians on BOTH sides are very scared too because if Trump wins, it will be the first time in modern history that a non-establishment non-politician has ran and won the office. It nullifies their existance and that is much more frightening that Hillary presidency to them. Trump will "tip over the apple cart" so to speak.

This may come as a shock to you but some folks actually read things other than Twitter feeds and Facebook pages.
