Both Hillary and McCain were considered inevitable by their parties because they were considered to be "next in line." Both of them failed to generate a lot of enthusiasm among their bases or independent voters and relied on a voter base that was voting for them simply because they didn't want the other candidate. Both of them faced candidates that were very effective at grass roots mobilization and usage of social media.

I personally think Hillary Clinton is the Democrats' version of John McCain. This definitely should be a wake-up call to the political establishment that coronating a candidate that nobody is excited about is a recipe for defeat.

That's not even accounting for all of the baggage and scandals that plagued Hillary Clinton's campaign.

She is John McCain and Bob Dole combined without the resume.

yes i think she is the democrat version of john mccain. she had no message other than vote for me because trump is a jackass, and she ignored states that were traditionally democrat voting states, but always on the verge of going republican with the right message, specifically wisconsin, michigan, ohio, and pennsylvania. take those 64 electoral votes away from trumps 290 and you get 226, and give them to clintons 226 and you get 290, and viola clinton would have been the winner. remember these four states went to obama in 2012.

No. To compare her to anyone other than someone rotting in prison because of their disregard of human life is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

The Clintons are a crime family. I do not believe McCain was a member of a crime family. That kind of thing can really "define" someone.

It was worse in that she thought she was going to be rewarded for supporting President Clinton during the affairs and resulting perjury impeachment when an upstart Barak Obama jumped the line and stole her rightful slot.

In the end her challenger for the party nomination was not even a member of the party but a socialist who dragged the party further left then many wanted to show publicly.

Certainly no Bob Dole.

McCain maybe. He was an ass who cheated on his first wife & everything he got was given to him.
