I suspect he'll be a mix of Mussolini and Berlusconi. Huge ego, afraid to reveal how much they are really worth, extreme corruption, media showmen, make Italy great again, making a mockery of the presidency. If people believe a Trumpolini presidency will be good for the American people, they will be very disappointed.

The unfortunate truth is that we the American people have let presidential elections become such a ridiculous circus that good people want nothing to do with running. So we get corrupt a-holes.

This year was a choice between the super-rich and corrupt outsider vs the rich and criminally corrupt insider. Both big party choices absolutely sucked. Hell, my own Libertarian Party nominated the wrong guy as well. Should have been Austin Petersen, but we got Gary Johnson instead. Better than Hillary and Trump though.

About the Trump picks. You pick the best people to succeed at advancing your agenda. That doesn't mean a bunch of lawyers (except AG) from Capitol Hill or a bunch of university academics with theories. It means people with accomplishments at doing something and succeeding.
Sanders had no campaign debt... he outraised Clinton in the primaries.

As for endorsing Clinton, there were many reasons for someone on the left to prefer Clinton to Trump. Allowing Trump to win is playing a very dangerous game with people's lives, and it might not work out the way the accelerationists on the left want. Elizabeth Warren and Noam Chomsky endorsed Clinton (if half-heartedly) as well. Many academics on the left did. Are all of these people bought out? No, they just didn't want to see US politics go off the rails.

Trump will not stand in the way of a Republican Congress determined to destroy the last vestiges of the New Deal. He may not share the same philosophy but he's incompetent, and he'll become a rubber stamp. It's essentially going to be the same dynamic NC's governor had for the past four years. The President's ability to nominate Federal Court Justices was also the Democrats' last line of defense against the policies coming from all the states that have permanent republican majorities thanks to gerrymandering. Those floodgates will soon open though.

The other thing is that in Sanders's case, if he hadn't endorsed Clinton, the party establishment would blame him for her loss, and the half of democrats who actually like Clinton and voted for her in the primaries would buy that. By endorsing, Sanders was building bridges, and ensuring the democratic party learns the right lesson from the loss, unlike 2000 when democrats learned the wrong lessons.

....that used to be called "nobleses oblige":
a French phrase literally meaning "nobility obligates". It denotes the concept that nobility extends beyond mere entitlements and requires the person who holds such status to fulfill social responsibilities, particularly in leadership roles.

Trump is a wild card. NO WAY to know how he is going to be.

His true perceptions and motivations are the least known of any incoming president in recent times.

Frankly, the left and right wings are but opposite wings of the same vulture feeding on Americans.
● The left (aka "takers") want government to compel one to work for the benefit of another.
● And the right (aka "takers") want government protection while they skim vast fortunes via usury (the abomination), producing nothing of value themselves, to trade with another.
● The victims (aka the "taken") are left with higher taxes, higher interest rates, higher insurance rates, and are slowly being ground down as they work, sweat and produce all the useful goods and services consumed by the 'left' and 'right' wings..

I've never heard Sanders say anything about them being "nefarious", that's a nice piece of disinformation though. Reality is that none of the billionaires that Trump has appointed have a single solitary clue about what it takes to survive paycheck to paycheck in the real world. That's the problem, isn't it? Donald Trump pledged that as POTUS he would represent the common man in the heartland, but it is becoming crystal clear that it was all sweet words and assurances. They don't represent me in any way whatsoever.

Well you never know. They may still be singing his praises as they lose their houses and watch their net incomes dwindle and lose their ability to retire with dignity. I'm convinced after this election that we as a people are indeed that stupid.

How did Bush/Cheney "destroy" the economy? And how did Obama "clean up" the middle east?

He authorized our tax money to bail out Wall Street. He left the US in the Great Recession. The American people were hurting and Bush left Obama a big mess. He righted the ship. You are right it has been so bad under Obama.

I think the memberberries are real and you as well as 60 million Americans swallowed those berries all the way to the thorny vines
So many inaccuracies in your post.

I will correct a few:

The economy was doing quite well from 2004-2007. There were 52 consecutive months of job growth, the GDP was growing (as high as 7.3% in one quarter of 2004), government revenue was increasing and unemployment was as low as 4.6%.

Gas prices did rise (and fall) under Bush. Did his policies cause that? No.

Iraq supported, funded and gave comfort to terrorists. Bin laden was being treated in a hospital in Iraq when he was fighting in Afghanistan.
