The old untrained pure labor jobs are just a thing of the past in the USA. In fact few americans want to do pure labor jobs now days.Besides that robots have taken increasing numbers of these jobs. Many companies move overseas because we now have the second highest corporate taxes in the world.A larger and larger share of sales by american companies are to countries like China and india were there are huge growing markets. Then there is the growing former soviet eastern block countries. Even Brazil is a booming market.

Take it from a guy who lives in El Paso TX.. on the border with Mexico. There were jobs a plenty prior to NAFTA, in one of the many clothing plants, like Levis, Farah and so forth, we also had many plastic plants here, and it was a big trade, that paid rather well for a border city.. but NAFTA came along and all those plants moved across the river and many El Pasoans lost their jobs over it. NAFTA has been bad for our country and the American worker. Just call tech support for your Computer, you LCD TV, or some other technical device, and your most likely gong to talk to someone over seas. Those are jobs Americans will do, but cant because they are out sourced to other countries.
