Obama will have a nice lead going into the convention but the nominee will be decided by a floor fight at the convention. Neither side will give in!

The convention will be brokered and Hillary will have the edge even though she will have fewer delegates. The Clintons have many friends in the DNC and among the Democratic establishment.

"a white guy" That's a racist statement! Why do you think Obama would tap "a white guy"? Aren't there black, Asian or Native American guys or women who are qualified?
How is that a racist statement? I didn't say he should choose a white male, I just think it's unlikely that he would stray too far from the norm. There are plenty of qualified minorities but there are still people out there who won't vote for a minority, and a white male VP may make them more comfortable with the ticket.

Thanks for not even contributing to the thread, just coming in and talking about how Clinton will use her manipulative tactics once again to mess it up for everyone.

As interesting as this sounds, and I definitely agree on the financial creds... I can't see Bloomberg making any difference in TX or CA. Obama will *have* to have the Latino vote; I sure hope he gets it from someone other than Hillary, which is why I say Richardson.

But if he doesn't get a running mate who is able to win over Latino votes, they will probably side with McCain -- after all, his immigration policy is pretty lax! Even by Democratic standards!

I totally disagree with all due respect. I think when Obama walks into the convention carrying the most delegates and the party establishment (superdelegates et al) turn around an screw him and back Hillbilly, it will forever sink the Dem party and assure McCain the oval office. No question about it. Even if Hillbilly picks Obama as veep, the tone of this campaign has assured bitter feelings and resentment among the young and black voters in this country will carry over to Nov and they will, I mean will, vote for McCain over Hillbilly, unless she tries to steal that election as well.

In the beginning and throughout every debate Richardson did everything but fall down and lick Hillary's pumps. During the second CNN debate Hillary fumbled the ball by back pedaling on her stance by first being for then switching to being against illegals being issued driver licenses in NY. His support for Obama didn't come until Obama all but came out and told America and every illegal alien in America that if elected, he plans to erase the US borders.

Both Obama and Bill Richardson are the illegal aliens' best friend and an enemy of America's sovereignty.

The choir you preach to must consist of dittoheads.

Ask yourself a simple question:

Which administration has been in office for the past seven years, underfunding and understaffing the Border Patrol, the Immigration Service and US Customs?

When you've come up with that answer, try this as a follow-up:

Which administration has jailed US Border Patrol agents for forcibly detaining Mexican drug smugglers?

Then take a look at what you wrote and see if it makes sense in the light of reality.

I think Edwards would be a good choice

Default Edwards for VP ... AGAIN ??

Edwards has shown himself to be a very skilled and accomplished LOSER three times now. In the 2004 presidential primaries, the general election as Kerry's VP running mate, and once again in the latest presidential primaries. Obama would have to be insane to pick a compulsive loser like Edwards for the VP spot. America has already said...THREE TIMES...that they don't want edwards anywhere near the white house....either as president or vice president. why would they vote for him now ??? He may as well pick Jessie Jackson, Al sharpton, or Ralph Nader as his vp using that criteria....for they too are very accomplished losers in past elections.

I think it will be Richardson. He stabbed the Clintons in the back- major league. It would make sense he did it for a cabinet post or VP nod.

Only a total and complete commie pinko bleeding heart moron would call that statement racist. Clearly Obama is going to pick a white running mate. That's not a racist statement. That's reality moron. Go off and sing Kumbaya, Joy to the World, and Somewhere over the Rainbow with your hippie friends. Leave reality for those who live in it.
