.
As hypocritical as ignoring why Obama had to spend that much after Bush doubled the national debt and put us in the worst recession since the great depression

Default Miami Herald endorses Bill Nelson

The paper cites Rick Scott's poor environmental record and his opposition to Medicaid expansion, which burdened Florida's emergency rooms with non-emergency patients, and likely much bad debt expense, as well, as among the reasons to vote for Bill Nelson for the U.S. Senate.

Foul on the poster for using a Liberal mainstream media outlet as a source of real news.

Bill Nelson is too old, is a lifetime politician, has never accomplished anything significant, and is a yes man for Chuck Shumer and the Socialist party. Nelson has voted 90%+ in favor of what his Washington DC matters dictated to him, and that is evident in his last vote against Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh.

If you wnt Washington DC radical left winger s running Florida, vote for the old White guy who's been around FOREVER. I prefer hope and change and not more of the same.

Your still losing.

Yet another radical angry Liberal personal attack on the candidate and the poster below:

"Sounds like you're voting for racist desantis. Trying to make Florida white again?"

This is the only game they have...deflect, besmearch, personal attacks, cite liberal media sources, I'll keep repeating it until everyone on this forum recognizes the Cloward Piven "rules for radicals" tactics.

It does nothing to encourage dialogue, group learning, or constructive exchanges of thought and ideas. Its more like a 3 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

They're losing badly, so they are trying to burn down the house. They are doing nothing to encourage others to join their angry mob.
The republicans are the compassionate party improving the economy for all, the Dems faled us all.

Post 50 is so typical of the man-made climate change science denier spiel that fills several Florida forum threads. Defining these posts are endless unsubstantiated statements, too often inaccurate, that ignore the ongoing environmental degradation of Florida which should be so obvious to any Floridian.

"Solar panels that fry birds" is a new idiocy. Passive solar panels don't fry birds, but instead their widespread adoption are essential to the survivability of birds in coming decades. The poster apparently was considering solar mirror thermal installations, but I wonder even if these, by checking fossil fuel emissions that so threaten all living species, including humankind, actually don't benefit general bird populations. The point is that solar mirror installations are not solar panels, which are widely used both locally and in larger electricity generation arrays.

Just to set the record straight, and document just one prevarication posted by a man-made climate change denier, here's an Audubon Society discussion of solar energy and birds. It's titled, "Why Solar Power is Good for Birds:"

https://www.audubon.org/news/why-solar-power-good-birds

Trumpian, man-made climate change denials and obfuscations are not based on reason or facts. The essential truth that an ongoing environmental holocaust resulting from the burning of fossil fuels can be mitigated only by decisive action on the part of mankind to transition away from fossil fuel consumption.

Electing Rick Scott to Congress will add to the ranks of Republican man-made climate change science deniers who now control the White House and Congress. Incredibly, these puppets of the fossil fuel interests want to INCREASE fossil fuel consumption and the resulting emissions of greenhouse gases, and in the process doom Florida to inundation, marine life extinctions, more severe hurricanes, etc.

This election cycle is ~3X more about the economy than it is about the environment. School safety is also more important than the environment according to this June 2018 survey of 1,000 local residents:

https://www.tcpalm.com/story/news/lo...ida/690132002/

The environment comes in 3rd, and I believe this is due to the persistant Red Tide. Once it fades away, environmental concern will drop even further down the list, and out of the top 5.

Recent events like a school shooting can sway surveys like this, so they should be conducted repeatedly at pre-set dates so we can get more than 1 point in time, and understand longer lasting more deeply ingrained concerns.

Also, if the same questions were asked Statewide (instead of locally) the results would be much different, and the environment would slip further down the list of concerns because others across the State have not been impacted as directly as we have been by Red Tide. My post on Palm Beach's forum about Red Tide popping up on their coast got zero replies. I invite you to go look at it.

Trump, and Scott have Florida's economy growing again, and its residents' and businesses are optimistic about the future.

That is what the mid-term elections are about. Everything else is a distant 2nd, and just a distraction from an election standpoint.

Some on this forum are suffering from environmental tunnel vision, which is understandable given the severity of the Red Tide.

This post is meant to get us all to think more on a Statewide basis, and less local regarding the upcoming elections. Afterall, these are statewide elections. I have not seen any recent Florida resident statewide surveys of concerns. In my opinion, if there was one conducted, the Environmental issue would not be in the top 5.
