But District 1 went full on red with Sanford -- even after all he did.
Arrington seems to be a better person -- marginally -- than Sanford.
Cunningham was as Democrat light as you get and frankly, Arrington comes off as a bit shrill. Sanford even with his “hiking” was ultimately likable. His downfall was going on CNN and bashing Trump. It’s SC, we are of the mindset that we can criticize amongst ourselves but don’t do it in enemy camp (so to speak).
This is Trump's victory. If it was as bad as CNN Projected, then GOP should have lost the senate and governor races badly . This is clearly a mandate that people support Trump and reelect him in 2020.
That makes 3 now for the GOP FOR A TOTAL OF 54. That takes the wind out of Romney's sail.
We'll see. I'm hardly a Romney fan, but he is far from the dullest political knife in the drawer. I can't imagine he has any personal affinity for Trump at all, and he is far more likely to be able to do what McCain couldn't - put together a cohesive senatorial counter-balance to Trump.
In Missouri, less than half of precincts in St Louis County have reported, same with St Louis city, and only about 2/3 of Jackson County (KC) have reported. Senate race there is going to end up a lot closer.
That “America is transforming fast, progressives can win in red states” narrative took a rough hit with Beto, Gilllum, and probably Abrams tonight. Maybe Kansas is the consolation prize.
