Election Center 2008: Primary Exit Polls - Elections & Politics news from CNN.com

What a devastating defeat for Obama. She has whooped his behind bigtime!

He lost in most categories, but these are very telling;

College educated Hill 58% - 38%
Lost in ALL income categories
Lost in all AGE categories

So the the young, the wealthy, the colleged-educated, abandoned him in good ol West Virginnie.

He also outspent her 2-1. But apparently didn't have the cajones to campaign much there.

Obviously, you don't realize how important a state W. Virginia is, do you?

Clinton won it both times. Both Gore and Kerry lost it.

No democratic candidate has won the presidency WITHOUT winning W. Virginnie since 1916.

Yeah, Obama's going to rue the loss of WV's big 5 electoral votes.

To be fair, think about all the hype that Obama got from winning caucus events with a miniscule amount of people participating in fly over country. Will she get the nomination - no. Does it point out some potential problems for Obama -maybe.

West Virginia was always going to Hillary by a huge margin. No shock there. As we say in the UK. " One swallow does NOT make a summer". It is now impossible for Clinton to catch up. Obama has won in the way that elections are run. More votes. If the super delegates go for Clinton then you might as well just not have any primaries and let the super delegates choose the next nominee for president. It will save a lot of effort on the voters behalf who have voted for the candidates in the race. You cannot make the rules up as you go along, as Hillary would like to do.

A coincidence, not a causality . . .

No disrespect to the Great people of West Virginia, but her winning there virtually in most of the polled groups of voters, comes as no surprise to anyone.

They are likely to do that anyway. Neither one is likely to get to the magic number.
