It appears that much of what remains of the Dem primary season will come down to when the rules committee meets on May 31st to discuss seating the MI and FL delegates. I would be shocked if the committee didn't seat the MI and FL delegates. Does anyone think that they won't? If so explain here.
The other question is what is your prediction on what the committee will do with the delegates. Will they award the bulk of them to Hilliary?
Will they award them according to vote percentage?
Will they divide them pretty much evenly?
Is the committee's decision binding on the two candidates?
Does MI and FL delegates matter as suggested in recent stories?
Please weigh in and discuss whether you are an Obama supporter or Clinton supporter. Let's have a good and civil discussion on topic please.
No flame throwers!

They can seat the Fla. delegates pretty much as is, though Fla. needs to be punished in some way...something like the delegates only counting 1/2 each and/or none of the superdelegates from the state to count.

In Mi, Clinton received 55% of the vote but uncommitted received 40%. If Clinton wants her 55% and it's corresponding delegate allotment then Obama should receive the same from the 40% that voted uncommitted. Again like Fla., Mi need to be punished in some way, a state can't flagrantly break party rules and get away with it, examples must be set.

None of this will make any difference at all, even with Mi. and Fla. Obama will win the delegate count, should win the popular vote count and will be the nominee.

The way the Republican Party handled their FL delegates (I believe) was they only received 1/2 because of changing the date. Regarding the Dem's in FL and MI I think some kind of punishment should be in effect otherwise what is gonna stop this from happening again in the future. I think FL and MI should be stripped of 1/2 their Delegates and seat the rest. I heard Donna B. state on CNN that Cameras would be aloud in on this meeting. I wonder if any news channels will be covering this live. It should be very interesting to see the outcome of all of this finally.

Precedent has been set. What was done before should be done again. There's no reason to change the punishment. If cameras are allowed, it should be clearly explained to the people (and reiterated) many times during the broadcast why the punishment is what it is, and EXACTLY who is to blame and why.

I definitely think cameras should be allowed, and as Walidm said, explanations frequently given. Also, these statements must be made by a representative of the dnc not just newscasters. It's important that the dnc publicly and clearly explain the situation and their position, since too many have been trying to twist the facts.

I predict votes will only receive 1/2 value. Superdelegates will receive full value (not fair, but that's what I predict).

What I hope will happen is that the entire system will be overhauled. But I don't predict this will happen.

What do I wish would happen? As I've said before, the primary dates should be assigned during the convention. All primaries should be done in "super Tuesday" style assemblies, grouped together geographically. And the entire process should be completed by the end of March.

However they decide to handle Fl and MI, their delegates will not be allowed to make any significant impact on the outcome, which we all know by now is that Obama is the nominee.

I could be wrong, but I think Donna Brazil from the Democratic Party said it will be televised which I think would be great so the American people can see that it was a done in a fair manner. I will keep my eyes and ears open and post any information.

My guess is they do whatever they've got to to make things come down favorably for Clinton. The PEOPLE are slowly and steadily choosing Clinton time and time again over Obama. He lost momentum more than a month ago. And has he falls further and further off the socialist deep end, party loyalists, Washington insiders, and regular old folks like you and me see that (I can't believe I am saying this) even Hilary freakin' Clinton would be better than this nut job. Don't forget you've got the Clinton machine hard at work in the background- THE best Washington politicians alive today. Legally, it looks like it has to go to Obama at this point, but Denver '08 ought to be interesting...very interesting.

It needs to be done in a "FAIR" manner and not favor any candidate. Fairness is not in Hillary's vocabulary. It's all about her!
