Cornell West who taught Michelle Obama and is now an advisor to Obama's campaign calls himself a "Societial Socialist". His mantra is "Robin Hood" or "take from the haves and give to the have nots"..pure Marxism. The idea is to eliminate classes...everyone is equal. If you earn X amount you must give an equal portion to the government to distribute to those that won't or can't have the same earning power that you do. It supposedly takes away the greed motivation to work hard and earn more.

Bugaboo…. Unlike Joe McCarthy did, people like Major Minor wont scare us of some "Phantom Menace," over and over, again and again. This time, we wont be scared and go backwards, over, over, again and again...

Leave it up the left to race bait.

They never deny it but they won't admit it either. Eventually someone is going to ask Obama point blank. In the passt he has dodged such questions by saying "I don't believe in labels"

But the evidence is compelling that he is a part of the radical left influenced by the Marxist teachings of his mother, Frank Marshall Davis and Jerimiah Wright.

His associates are all socialists or communists. In addition to Terrorist William Ayers, criminal Tony Rezko and racist bigot Louis Farakhaan, the Obamas were close friends with Rashid and Mona Khalidi, Palestinian Socialists.

No where among his local circle of friends in Chicago's Southside will you find a moderate or a conservative. All of his friends are Socialists and Communists!

It's also interesting to note that Communist dictators around the world support Obama.

What it comes down to is policy and the actual definition of socialism.

He doesn't advocate socialist policies, unless you apply the idiot definition of socialism in which case any government spending is socialism.

Point out how his policies would be worse for the US (especially than the overwhelming majority of Americans who view the US on the wrong track after two terms of Republican rule) and perhaps we could have a legitimate discussion. But that doesn't happen on here. You point to flimsy associations that have nothing to do with how he'll govern, slap on a word which you haven't an idea on the actual definition, and hope enough mud will stick.

We've faced 8 years of a highly political, anti-science, anti-facts, politics/patronage-rules all style in which the entire Republican party backed. It failed miserably. Now the only hope for dead enders like yourself is to bastardize Obama's policies into socialism and hope enough Americans are dumb enough to believe it.

They aren't and they won't.

As Democrats we have to ask ourselves: IS OBAMA THE BEST WE CAN OFFER TO THE AMERICAN ELECTORATE?

The Answer is a resounding NO!

We should have a canididate who is middle of the road. A moderate who will unite the people. One whose policies will bring honor and restore dignity to the office of president.

Not some wild eyed liberal whose voting record puts him on the far left socialist fringe. Not someone raised hearing Marxist idealogy during his impressionable childhood. Not someone who is a member of a radical leftist black liberation congregation. Not someone whose friends are all radical leftists, Socialists and Communists.

Barack Obama brags that he is going to raise our taxes to pay for his socialist government programs. He says only the upper income individuals and businesses will be affected but AS WE ALL KNOW FROM PAST EXPERIENCE businesses pass their higher costs down to consumers. Rising costs of goods and services equals inflation.

40 years ago a great Amertican president John F. Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country"

The Socialist Barack Obama is saying the exact opposite. He is saying "Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what your country can do for you".

Think about it. We don't need a socialist in the white house. We need someone who will act responsibily and not risk the financial heath of the nation by implimenting give away programs.

Ah, so you do define 'socialism' as "any moment the government spends a dime on anything". And just because you type words like "wild eyed liberal" in bold and red does not make them any more true had you not.

You may not agree with Obama's voting record, but it is categorically false that it has been socialist, leading me to believe that you see fit to define the word however you'd like, regardless of reality.

I suggest you find some actual socialists and ask them what they think of Obama's voting record, I highly doubt they'd approve, I do actually know a few socialists (one is a professor who lives in Europe), they find Obama far too conservative in his political ideology, he wouldn't hack it policywise it for two seconds in Socialist circles.

I'm beginning to find your "There is a communist/socialist/terrorist/ under the bed" histrionics rather tired. Are you really that frightened? Do you really feel that America is that fragile that it can be destroyed from within so easily. You vacillate from insinuating that Obama is a weak inexperienced empty suit and that he is a frightening villainous Manchurian candidate who will hand our nation over to whomever is the bogyman of the day (or the bogyman in your head) on a silver platter. So which is it?

Are we going to forfeit this election to the Republicans because we can't find a candidate who represents the values of most Americans?

We need someone who will unite American, not divide it left against right, young against old, Christians and Jews against Athiests and Muslims, whites and Blacks against Asians, educated versus uneducated, haves versus have nots.

Barack Obama is the most devisive candidate in American history. He attracts people on the left politically and tells them those on the right are crooked and sinful. He attracts the gullible college student and convinces them that their parents generation is evil and ignorant. He tells us that he is Christian and supports Israel but his friends are all muslims and athiests. He angers Asian Americans by supporting trade restrictions on Japanese and Korean made goods. He refers to small town Americans as bitter individuals who cling to their guns and bibles in an effort to insult them and paint them as ignorant hicks. Lastly he panders to the poor and blames the wealthy for their plight in life.

WE CAN DO BETTER THAN OBAMA.

Where are the great Democratic candidates?

The choice between Obama and McCain---both are terrible!

This country is in trouble with either!
