Could you imagine...2009, the new Presidents State of the Union address. Standing in front of the big chair is a black man and on either side of him, a women, Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House, and on the other side, another women, Hillary Clinton, president of the senate and vice-president of the United States of America...

Before a single, solitary word is said, that image alone would speak volumes as to how far we've come as a nation. Wouldn't it be great to look at that and be able to say with conviction "yes...we have arrived!"

A black man, two women...let's make it happen!

Wow!

Amazing.

It would be even better if they were all qualified and good at their positions!

Touche'!
I hope Obama looks at that list of Clinton associates who've "commited suicide" or come to some other untimely and violent end, before he offers her the VP. We don't want him "shooting himself" or Air Force One involved in any tragic crashes, etc.

Sad thing is, that is more than a baseless conspiracy. There was a PBS special a few back about the Clinton's and their crimes. Wish I could remember what it was called. Note the film was PBS not some vast right wing conspiracy factory. Too many bizarre deaths to be a coincidence.

Gee, for all the wunderlust so many are experiencing today I sure hope the giddy factor will be as elevated come January 2010 and beyond, because a crash from this sugar high will really throw the nation into a funk worse than what we have had to this point.

Inspiring????? How? An unqualified person like Obama as president....I find nothing inspiring about that. Just more hot and rhetoric from him like we've come to know from Bush.

Actually, Obama is more qualified than JFK was, as he has over a decade of experience as an elected official, both in the Illinois senate and in the US Senate.

What would make it better would be if their opponent was not an old man who thinks the Iraqi government is more important than US troops, and voted with Bush 95% of the time.

He is just as qualified as JFK was, and unlike Bush, Obama does not use religious extremism and imperialis ideas of Marxist (Troskyite) origin to make his points.
