I agree. Pretty awesome, huh?

Many of the world's most evil despots were far greater speakers than Obama. That is the worry about great speakers, people tend to listen less to the real words when they are completely enamored with the speaker. Germany can attest to that fact, and woefully so.
It is acceptance level and would they vote for him and look at the polls I posted a few days ago prior to the speech and compare his numbers with McCain.

Unrelated note: Can we have a moratorium on the word "kool-aid", or "sipping kool-aid"?

I'm reading that everywhere, from both sides.

Some people on here are so funny. Your excited over American flags waving? from overseas? great. Obama's campaign workers took out so much advertising over there and for all of the promotions they did, you would hope that that many people would show up. I could go to the unemployment line and shout "jobs for everyone" and I bet they would wave a white cloth for me too....but...everything sounds good on the surface, you might act like a leader but I'm not buying it. Real leaders are disliked just as much as they are liked.

They make choices based on beliefs, not give things away to Americans that don't deserve it, I can't wait. We, the Republicans can't lose. See...If McCain wins great, if Obama wins it will be a bunch of laughing good times because he will raise taxes and all of the people that so desperately want to work...won't be able to because the people with the money just got their taxes raised so they are not offering as many jobs as they once were....

Obama and all of his friends are weak. Don't you know Iran is just a small country and nothing to worry about......

Of course the Germans love him, they tell him what to do and he will do it....He's like a well trained pet that doesn't want to make anyone mad so he just tells them what they want to hear...weak

Anything more than grudging acceptance is seen as "sipping kool aid". I've just grown to ignore it.

Anyone who thinks she "can't lose" because either her candidate will become President, or because she assumes she'll be able to watch another candidate fumble through a Presidency and cause destruction throughout the country, has some seriously f'ed-up views on the election, the Presidency, and politics in general. Not to mention, it's kinda unpatriotic to say you'll win if people will be out of jobs and your fellow countrymen will be miserable. I don't agree with anything you said (I think Obama will make an excellent President), and I appreciate your right to your own opinion, but I think what you've said is pretty misguided.

I see you live in Lexington and UK is part of your screenname, so I'll assume you're a student at the University of Kentucky and you just have a lot of growing up to do. If not, I just feel sorry for you and your sad misconceptions.

Just drink from the elixir of life and live the one you love and let others live the ones they love or hopefully they love theirs.

Seconded.

Thirded, too.

The mention of "kool-aid" is such a banal attempt at insult, and is worthy of nothing more than being ignored or inducing eye-rolls.

Yes! We Obama supporters are idealistic, optimistic, pumped up, fired up, and ready to take this great nation of ours in a new direction.

Come to our side. We're having much more fun. We're seeing the world for what it really is - a beautiful and fantastic place.

Life is good.
