We'll probably see some real management, as opposed to the insider-only crony-based "leadership" of the past eight years. It'll be a refreshing change. Many won't know how to respond.

The increased capital flowing back into the US economy will stimulate some immediate jobs growth, but recovery will take time. Things are really bad, and will continue to get worse through election day.

Consumer confidence will go up as the mainstream news turns from negative to positive (the media will be celebratory, to say the least), market indices rise, and former allies of the US rejoin us in earnest.

Taxes will slowly return to the levels they were in the 90's boom under Clinton, as the economy recovers.

People like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton will be out of business; it's tough to sell that the man is keeping you down, when the president is black.

Rush Limbaugh will have 8 years of getting to poke fun at the president's ears, his stammer, how Hillary would have been better, etc. He can go back to his hatred of McCain that he had to put aside for this election, and worship Romney or Palin. He can lament about how the country is going down the tubes, while the rest of us breath a sigh of relief that finally it's not.

oh my gosh
is this what you think???
I guess you forgot Hillary's speech?
Heaven will open, the chior of angels will break into song
and we will float off to utopia............
the very sad thing is, people do think that is what is going to happen

Jesus land breaks off from the US. The coastal states (except SC) merge with Canada to form a new country called United States of Canadia.
The Alaska Independence party controls Juneau and secedes to form their own arctic wonderland country.
JUST KIDDING

I think you should save your post and repost it in December to see how things turn out.

This thread should be engraved in stone as a monument to the insanity and stupidity of the right. Eight years from now, when we're gearing up to elect Obama's successor, and things have much improved over today, we should study these posts again to remember why the conservative right in this country is such a bad choice - full of hatred and willing to lie with abandon.

And all of you predicting the end of the world should be mocked and abused every time you post here.

Do they? Never heard anyone say that before.

A few things I can think of if Obama wins:

-We will have the ugliest first lady in history.
-The furniture in the White House will have to be enlarged for Michelle's big rear end.
-Taxes will go up on those who work, and go down for those who are lazy and want to milk the welfare state.
-The national Christmas tree will be decorated in very poor taste.
-Laziness will be rewarded in general.
-Other countries will view us as even more of a joke than we have been viewed under Bushie & Co.
-Questionable people will suddenly have access to the White House (Wright, Farrakhan, Rezko, Ayres, etc).
-Michelle will come unglued when she tries to demand respect as a first lady and is ignored by polite society.
