McCain will reinstate the draft - either that, or he is a doddering old fool, or just has no respect for the opinions of others.

The following transpired during a town hall meeting:

AUDIENCE MEMBER:
Senator McCain I truly hope you get the opportunity to
chase Bin Laden right to the gates of hell and push him in as you stated on your forum.
I do have a question though.
Disabled veterans, especially in this state, have horrible conditions [...] My son is an officer in the Air Force,
and I am a vet and I was raised in a military family.
I think it is a sad state of affairs when we have illegal aliens having a Medicaid card that can access specialist top physicians, the best of medical and our vets can't even get to a doctor.
These are the people that we tied yellow ribbons for and Bush
patted on the back.
If we don't reenact the draft I don't think we will have anyone to chase Bin Laden to the gates of hell.

JOHN MCCAIN:
Ma'am let me say that I don't disagree with anything you said
and thank you and I am grateful for your support of all of our veterans.

Good grief, it wouldn't take the draft to catch Osama. How ridiculous! They haven't caught him yet because they want the guy loose to keep people afraid!

First, coming from the KOS I wouldn't trust the wording.

Second, this is the 4th thread on this since the slam dunk McCain gave Nobama.

Third, we are a volunteer army, I am sure when the time arises and we need more brave young men and women to protect us your will see a line of republicans willing to do so.

No President, NOT ONE can ever say they would not ever bring back the draft.

In the time of need, we just might need it. Nothing wrong with that at all.

If Clinton wouldn't have torn down our military like he did, we wouldn't have to start from scratch like Bush had to.

You're right blacknight04, all we will hear about is Obama and the brother he never knew. Forget reporting any REAL news to people.

Nah, he hasn't supported a draft all along.

Once again, a comment has been taken out of context. Here is a clip of the entire question and entire answer. Any reasonable person would agree that his comment pertained to veteran medical care, the point of the question and his response:

YouTube - How John McCain will improve health care for veterans

Only those blindly partisan towards Obama would believe this to be a military draft endorsement.

Again, no President will ever commit to not having the option open.

Even Dumbo the Clown would bring back the draft.

So what is your point and what is wrong with a draft if needed?

Can you find where Obama has PROMISED that he would never bring back the draft?

How soon loons forget what the commanders No. 1 job is.

I hope he does myself, we need to get those 18 years old's off the streets and into a training and jobs program. Generation ZERO ( who are 18-24 ) are the about the biggest group of lazy butts we have.

Yes, but you need to watch the entire exchange associated with the question, which is why I posted the YouTube clip containing the whole thing.

Thank you. I listened and did not see it as him committing to what they are saying.

Obama followers are really getting desperate.

Again, do you agree NEW TO CA that no President would ever commit to not having the option?
