When you cut through the rhetoric and pull resumes, Palin blows Obama away. Sure they both have interesting, non-traditional paths to where they are today but it's interesting to see the left spin this to Palin's lack of experience. More liberal arrogance; fact is, not knowing someone does not make them unqualified. Just as being a celebrity makes one presidential material.
Palin's a proven executive with many accomplishments. Only one of which is running the largest state in the US; perhaps one the most diversified of any. A true reformer the likes of what Washington has never seen -- change that appears to frighten many on the left who embrace a 36 year liberal senate veteran. No more "elitism" issues, no more "out-of-touch" zingers. The real deal.
Since when is Alaska the largest state in the US, the population is less than one million people. It may be largest in geography, but lets face it, there are probably more moose than people up there.
So are you saying, for the sake of your argument, that someone who governed a county in Montana with 500 hundred people would have more experience than someone who governed nyc because the square mileage of the county were larger? Because that is exactly where your 'Alaska is the largest state' argument is going. I suggest you find another one.

To compound the argument, more than 50 percent of the land is not under state control at all. It is either tribal or federal land.
People keep talking about Palin's executive experience, but exactly how *big* is Alaska's budget compared to, say, Florida's?
Also, I was a bit weirded out to read about Palin's Secessionist leanings, especially considering McCain's "Country First" theme. But who knows, maybe that perspective would bring something refreshing to her world view.

Thank you. I completely agree. I was reading the OP, thinking wtf does he mean by "largest state in the US"...area? He certainly could not have been referring to population, considering the population of the entire state of Alaska is 30% less than the population of the city of San Jose, CA.
