In what could be a preview of her Tuesday night address, Hillary Clinton defiantly dismissed John McCain's new television commercials that encourage her former supporters to support his campaign.
Quote:
"I don't appreciate having my name or my words or for that matter Sen. Biden's words used. There's nothing I can do about it, except speak out against it, and hope people won't give it any credence."
"If you voted for me, you have much more in common with Senator Obama on every issue I campaigned on, on every cause that I have stood for, than you do with Senator McCain," she said when asked what she thought of her former supporters considering a McCain vote.
Even Hillary can't stand what some of her former "supporters" are doing to undermine this election. Anyone who supported Hillary and now has claimed allegiance to McCain, is basically voting AGAINST everything that Hillary stands for. Pathetic.
I am not a Hillary supporter, but dear me - the woman has LOST NOTHING. She was elected to a very prestigious Senate seat . . . she is gong to continue as a Senator. I would feel I had contributed my share to society if I had won a Senate seat - regardless of running for President.
Hillary Clinton does not have to apologize to anyone for anything - nor should she feel she "didn't win" - she has had an amazing life and career.

That's so true.
I'm glad she's speaking out against this - there's more to come - if I were her I would be ROYALLY PO'ed.

Shes only speaking out of it for the sake of "party unity." She probably really agrees with the ad, but doesnt want to open her mouth because it may tick off her party.
Some possible truth to this sentiment. Lots of people who follow the investing biz are "certain" of two things:
1. There is going to be an ungodly recession coming down on us as the worst of the mortgage mess is yet to hit.
2. No matter who gets elected in 2008, the hard times coming in 2009-2012 will make that person a one-term president.
Time will tell.
