Advertisements

Here's the ad being aired by AIP, an independent group; Pretty tough.

YouTube - Know Enough?

So, what does obama do? Put out his own ad accusing McCain of airing the other ad. The McCain campaign had nothing to do with the ad. So then he writes a letter encouraging the DOJ to investigate and tries to intimidate the media into not running the ad. Too late for that, since it's been running in OH,MI,PA. He doesn't even try to refute the FACTS of the ad, just wants to shut it down.

The Page - by Mark Halperin - TIME (http://thepage.time.com/video-obamas-ayers-tv-ad/ - broken link)

Obama to DOJ: Block terrorist ad - Ben Smith - Politico.com

Quote:
The Obama campaign plans to punish the stations that air the ad financially, an Obama aide said, organizing his supporters to target the stations that air it and their advertisers.
The McCain camps response. Make no mistake, McCain will be running Ayers ads, obama will have to "refine" his relationship with Ayers. Does Obama really think the comment he made in one of the debates that Ayers is "just" his neighbor is going to fly for much longer? It is apparent they have had a relationship that goes back many years. He has stepped in it again, although I do think he is between a rock and a hard place. By putting out this ad lashing out at McCain and by sending that "complaint" letter to the DOJ and by using his campaign to intimidate and threaten free speech, he is bringing right to the forefront - maybe that's his intention all along.

The Corner on National Review Online

Quote:
That they've made a strategic decision to air a commercial about William Ayers is perplexing. I don't understand it, but put that aside. The ad is misleading. It states the McCain campaign is running an ad on the issue and it's not. This a pattern of attacking from a platform of disingenuousness when Obama accuses his opponent of attacking when he's not, in an attempt to disqualify the issue from the debate. Here's Obama's problem with regard to Ayers. When he was asked directly, Obama described Ayers as just a guy who lives in his neighborhood. We know that's not accurate. Before we get to the place where we can ask, "Why does Barack Obama have a relationship with an unrepentant terrorist?" we have to ask, "Why is Barack Obama not being forthcoming about his relationship?" This is what he has to realize: He's a candidate for president of the United States of America. He's not in a state senate race where he can disqualify all his opponents from running. He's deluding himself if he doesn't think his relationship with an unrepentant domestic terrorist who was part of this viscous, crack-pot group will give the American people pause. If he does, he's being very naĂŻve. And he's being misleading. It says a lot about Barack Obama. John McCain is not running an ad on Ayers and William Ayers was not just someone who lived in his neighborhood.
I think the democrat party has deluded themselves into thinking this relationship will not matter.

You really need to seriously consider sending all of this evidence you've accumulated to the FBI and the Dept of Homeland Security ASAP.

That's NOT where this belongs. Youtube and cable/TV stations and newspapers is where you will see this.

Will obama try to tamp down McCain's free speech when he runs HIS Ayers ads?

Can you imagine the media ATTENTION this issue will get then?

Come on walid; even you have to admit it was a really stupid mistake by obama to keep this on the front page.

This will be a large issue with most Americans.

Obama cannot refute it, he has done that with all his "other" friends.

Obama wants to shut it and anyone down who brings anything out about his past. He did it to his opponent in his own state what do you think he will do here.

He has CNN and MSNBC in his pocket and they will not cover anything that is a negative about it, no matter if the facts are presented.

This will destroy him in key states like Ohio.

If I am correct, I do not think Obama can answer to this, he has no way out and McCain as you know Sanrene has the best group of ads going and its always 10 steps ahead of Obamas group in doing so.

His friendship with Ayers is important to us, we need to know more and we need to make sure the American people know about them.

I think this alone and exposing him for it will do him in.

The phony is getting exposed for what he really is.

Why? Being close friends with 16 count felons and domestic terrorists isn't a crime. Obama is permitted to hang with whoever he chooses. And as long as he legally covers his tracks -- as in purchasing a home with a felons help, the FBI can't touch him. Even OJ walks around a free man.

I believe he is covering something else up by doing this.

He is a very good used car salesman.

Criminals, and good ones know how to have you looking over here when the prize in over there.

Obama seeks to silence ad tying him to 60s radical

Quote:
It seems they protest a bit too much," American Issues Project spokesman Christian Pinkston said. "They're going all of these routes—through threats, intimation—to try to thwart the First Amendment here because they don't have an argument on merit."
Yep. Huge, tactical mistake. The more this story is out there, thanks to obama campaign, the more news outlets will pick it up, the more they will focus on obama deceitful comments regarding the relationship.

In addition, they will be questioned about the fundamental right of free speech and why they are trying to censor questions about obama.

Bad, bad move.
