I think you need to look up "socialism" before you respond. Obama has directly bought companies, AIG, Citibank, GM for example, Bush loaned these companies money. While I supported neither choice, there is a HUGE difference between the government loaning money, and them outright buying them up..
I will agree that Bush and the DEMOCRATIC Congress abused their authorization when they decided to LOAN companies money though, but this is not the same as "socialism"..

Bush enacted one of the biggest increases in entitlements in the past 30 years with his Medicaid Prescription Drug program - one which benefits the pharmaceuticals more than medicaid members... I'm sure your ilk would regard this as 'socialism'..

This is unconstitutional and an attack on our rights to know the facts and freedom of speech.

I travelled to Moscow several times - starting in early '92 - and I was dumfounded by the psychological damage that citizens there suffered under the communists..
People were afraid to speak up - to show any initiative - to challenge authority.

Meaning.. Just SUGGESTING or advocating that the government should go into business and produce is socialism.. Not only has Obama SUGGESTED it, but he has done it.. He has taken over 80% of AIG, Citibank, and he has even fired CEO's. No, Bush did not do these things, he LOANED these companies money, Obama took control.. Think I'm wrong, what CEO did Bush fire? What company did Bush tell how to operate or what cars they can build? What company did the taxpayers own when Bush left office?
Bushs' drug program was not socialism because he did not create or operate a company to put the program into place, he simply expanded government and spent taxpayers money.. Bushs' TARP program also was not socialism because he LOANED companies money, without taking any equity in return. It was Obama that converted these loans into equity/ownership positions when he converted loan to stock thereby causing Citibank stock to be severly diluted and many investors to lose billions.
The left continues to criticize and write off anyone on the right for using calling Obama a "socialist" but per the definition thats what he is.
