It averaged Barack Obamas big night with John McCains big day, so today, there was a wash. Give it 2 days when the poll covers Friday-Sunday.

Default From Gallup themselves about post convention bounces

Conventions Typically Result in Five-Point Bounce
RINCETON, NJ -- To the extent history is a guide, Barack Obama and John McCain can both expect to see some increase in voter support after their nominating conventions, an effect observed after nearly all of the 22 national conventions since 1964. The median increase has been 5 percentage points.

Remember after the first two days of the DNC, it was still a tied race????? Well, why would this be any different???? Give her two days (until Sunday) and then maybe we can talk. Although I dont think she will eliminate Barack's lead by Sunday (since the RNC hasnt happened yet) she will probably make some gains (whereas Biden actually represented a net loss for Obama).

Which makes the convention bounce greater.

No, its expected. Everyone predicted a 15 point bounce, and by RCP's average, it was just 4%.
