agreed ^ both are thin on experience and anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.

what's interesting is how McCain has taken away his ability to continuously criticize Obama's lack of experience by choosing Palin.

It will be fun to watch how both camps tiptoe around the experience issue.

I thought I'd be brave and listen to Rush this morning. Wow, he's absoultely IN LOVE ga-ga over Sarah Palin. He's lauding her up one side and down the other. It's kind of scary to listen to actually. I don't know, how many "true conservatives" are out there anymore. How are the moderate republicans responding ... you hear all the huzzahs of the extreme right, but again, are they in the majority??? I just think they GOP is going to be batting fly after fly away with this selection. Obama hasn't had to work and has even told people to lay off her daughter (too bad the babydaddy didn't do the same thing ... boom! )

The NYT ran a decent article this morning on the slim vetting process in choosing Palin. The more I hear, the more I can see this turning into a Harriet Miers type debacle.

Need to go get me some PUMA's!

8 years as senator of Chicago's 13th district (pop: ~781,037)
2005-Current US Senator of Illinois (pop: ~12,852,548)

I don't like either McCain or Obama; I think they are both tools. Let's just keep the bull**** at the door, k?
It's also noteworthy to point out that there were things I left out for both. Like Palin winning a Miss Wasilla beauty contest and Obama working for a law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development.

A minor in Political Science, wow glad that wasn't left out...

Thanks for leaving out the beauty competiton, lol. What an embarassment.

Has McCain ever selected and opted for really strong women in his life? That may be a good question. Would a strong woman tolerated the C word in public?

If we can be honest here, this election is a little light on talent and experience on both sides in various ways.

You would have to resort to that sort of remark when some of us were having a serious discussion. I get so tired of this stuff on here.

Good point. No she would have filed for divorce and taken him to the cleaners. I actually feel sorry for his wife, she is verbally abused by him, it seems...

Who cares about talent? Look where the talent/experience of Bush/Cheney has gotten us

Can someone remind me how much "experience" John Edwards had in 2004? Back when he was perfectly acceptable and "qualified enough" to be #2 in command, according to democrats?

Lawyer since 1978

Worse than Palin as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't give credit to her, however, which is probably what you were trying to get at.
