I ask forgiveness for selling Gov. Palin short, I apologize for not appreciating the depth of her understanding because Gov. Palin now informs me that:
Iraq Was God's Plan!
Speaking before the Pentecostal church, Palin painted the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord.
"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
Yeah, politicians love to bring out the old "God" trick when presented with a sticky situation. Separation of church and state my ass, these folks intermingle the two every chance they get because they are trying to appeal to the church going crowd. My only hope is that lovers of the lord do not let themselves be suckered by these false prophets. They are only interested in your vote, they care nothing for your beliefs. President Bush used God to garner support for his war, basically pushing it as a Holy War. God on our side, we would crush the wicked. Sorry, but I don't think God is behind any effort to crush mankind. Its a political tool to them, nothing more.
More people need to know about Palin's stance that the Iraq war was "gods will".
This is a serious position to take in a very dangerous world.
We have enough war mongers in the name of god in this world!
